Just the fact that everyone can make 3 FP+ reservations in advance goes a long way toward creating a more level distribution of FPs.
If the super users do have an advantage, they will be getting an advantage over a much smaller piece of the pie than they used to have.
Not to mention that we don't know how some of these things will work as the system continues to evolve.
It's almost as if the system was actually designed to let guests use it to suit their individual preferences while giving Disney some ability to manage inventory for the mass of guests.

does anybody know.... do you have to USE all three of your fp before you can book the 4th (what if you don't make one or skip one) can you book a 4th as soon as the 3rd ones time expires even if you only used 2 of the fp you booked earlier that day?

Hahaha ... no cursing. This is exactly what I am planning for sat at MK.
It's supposed to rain though ... so the real tests will be throughout the week. I am going to try and break FP records ... if bumping and stacking is really possible. Flight leaves in 7 hours 23 min ...
Yes, but, the old system built in a 2 hour gap between FPs. This new system seems to allow for adjacent ( if not overlapping) FPs. I'm not so sure the super users are fighting over a smaller slice. When users are forced to tier at Epcot and 2 of their 3 initial FPs are largely not needed, the race is on for the rest of the day. Strategy and knowledge are far more meaningful now.
No, it didn't, at least not in the last few years. You could get a new FP at the EARLIER of (1) two hours after you pulled a FP, or (2) the return time of the FP.
The overall pie may have grown because more attractions now have FPs than before, but the vast majority of the angst expressed by the most ardent detractors of FP+ involves the FPs for the most popular attractions. I don't think anyone is going to be too excited if they can get more FPs for the tier 2 attractions at Epcot and DHS.
Strategy and knowledge have ALWAYS been valuable, even before there were FPs at all. It's just that the strategy has to evolve as the system evolves.
I will say this. If the net result of all of this is that the super users conclude that they have a bigger advantage than they had under the FP system, it will be the greatest irony of the century. Of course, even if they could do more with FP+ than they could with paper FP, they would never admit it, and would still find something to complain about, like the fact that they miss hugging those little slips of paper.
That really depends.
Even if I am able to push the limits of the new system to squeeze a little more out of it, I will still dislike that I am required to commit to my primary FP selections 2 months out, and that I don't have the flexibility to just change parks on a whim on a given day. I also dislike the idea that to maximize FP, I will need to be glued to the smart phone I would rather just put in my backpack and forget about for the day.
Plus, it's really going to take time to see if the availability of a 4th (plus subsequent FPs) is going to make one bit of difference in overcoming the tiers at DHS and Epcot during all but the slowest weeks.
Not a knock on the OP, very glad she was able to do what she did. However, doesn't the above give one pause that super users are going to be able to take advantage of this system far more than they could under the old system? For those that think this new system levels the playing field, I would think that the above explanation should disabuse that notion.
it's called luck with empty parks. Try it during peak times.
FP+ is garbage
Does anyone know if Disney did any research/surveys to find out if people would actually prefer to use their smartphones so much while touring? I've seen a few oats now where people would like to be "disconnected" from technology at the parks but FP+ makes that nearly impossible.
