Our 40th wedding anniverary

Well my wife just informed me we are spending our 40th on a trip to Hawaii staying at Aulani. It is just over two years away but for this I suppose we need to start planning now(points and the such). I will be reading the threads on this resort so keep them coming....smjj

I love to plan ahead too. Anticipation and planning are part of the fun.

That's going to be a fun trip to plan! We celebrated our 24th anniversary in Hawaii, with our DSs and we were on a cruise around the islands and had a week's stay on land. It was a trip we all remember fondly! (For our 25th anniversary we weren't even together, he had begun working in Ohio, and I was still on the job in New Jersey! We celebrate things when we can and it may not be at the conventional time.

We're planning too, but Aulani is not in our plans. We will be celebrating our 45th in Hawaii in 2013. In fact, we are taking our adult children and their families along. We WILL be spending at least 5 days at Ko'Olina so our DD can take part in a Sweet Adelines conference, but then we will spend the bulk of our vacation on one of the better islands. Our favorites are the Big Island of Hawaii and Kauai, but I suspect we might have to do Maui this time, since it's been a few trips since we did that one.

Hmmmmmm. I wonder that too. I am also anxious to know how they will be utilizing the adjacent wedding chapel. My DH and I would consider doing a vow renewal there if Disney Weddings was in charge of the planning.

We are planning our 30th Anniversary in Hawaii at Aulani in May 2012. We are looking to stay around 9 days so trying to plan the best days to travel so I can make our ressies at the 11 month mark. Will be reading as much as possible to help with planning. So keep all the suggestions coming!
