Sounds like a busy day 7! The necklace is really nice. I might have to look into that when we're there.
Ooooh I love the necklace! I am really enjoying your report! Can't wait for more!
Phew! Just spent the last 4 hours reading the whole thing from start to finish - absolutely loved itSo much to comment on that I don't even know where to start so I'll just say keep it coming, can't wait to read more.
Sounds like a busy day 7! The necklace is really nice. I might have to look into that when we're there.
You're going when??
That was a good additionThat necklace was amazing! Also, at that restraunt, do they let kids go?
Since we knew we'd be out late at the Pirate and Princess Party, there was nothing planned for this day except the Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue in the evening. Even though the boys went to bed late, they were up at 7 a.m. My kids NEVER sleep in.
We had a leisurely breakfast. Breakfast for the week consisted of cereal, bagels, toast and granola bars (not all of those items at once - those were just the choices). There was also fruit in the form of bananas, apples and raisins.
Did you guess who was caught sneaking to the pool at 9:30 in the morning? It wasn't one of the kids. Mr. Ihaven'tswamintwentyyears was ready for a dip bright and early! So we all got our suits on and played in the pool for a while.
I decided that this day would be our best bet for heading to Downtown Disney. I had planned to go on another day in the afternoon, but that would have been after being in a park and I figured we'd all just want to relax in the pool at that time.
After our swim, we all got dressed and headed to DTD. It was another gorgeous day. As you can see in the pictures, we were wearing shorts! When we arrived it was just about lunchtime. I had wanted to try out Wolfgang Puck Express, but it appeared to be closed for renovations. We headed over to Rainforest Cafe and figured we could share some food and stick to burgers. The wait was about 15 minutes and I guess we were impatient because we decided to go to Earl of Sandwich instead. I really don't think that move helped save us time since the line in EOS was long.
We still got pictures in front of the Rainforest Cafe:

As we were walking over to Earl of Sandwich, there were a bunch of birds out along with their handler. They totally cracked me up because she was trying to talk to the crowd, but the birds were being SUPER loud. It was so loud that we had to walk away to protect our hearing

Memere and I gave Pepere and Chuck our orders and we headed over to Once Upon A Toy with the boys. I figured we could do the Make Your Own Lightsaber thing while we waited.
Well, let's just say that I'm not really good at putting lightsabers together.
We attempted to make them and then I gave up. I told the boys we would return with Daddy after lunch. Daddy would be able to figure those crazy things out!
We found a couple of tables outside of EOS and waited for the men and the food to arrive.

(By the way, the beads Connor has on are loot from the P & P Party.)
Per usual, the food was yummy. We bought two peanut butter and jelly sandwiches (the best PB&J sandwiches you'll ever have), although we should have only gotten one as they're very filling and the boys didn't eat much.

Sully and I shared Cannonballs (meatball sub).

Chuck had the Original 1762 (roast beef with horseradish sauce).

And my parents shared the Full Montagu (roast beef and turkey). Sorry, didn't get a picture of theirs. We all greatly enjoyed our lunch.
With full bellies, we attempted once again to tackle the making of 3 lightsabers. What a fiasco this turned out to be! It took Chuck a while to figure it all out. I guess the CM that was around helping everyone else didn't notice the confusion on our faces. Chuck did Sully's first and then we both made one together with the boys choosing the pieces they wanted. And Dani, these pictures are for you! (Sorry there's not more.)

And then it was time to check out.
For inventory purposes, they have to scan EACH part of the lightsaber. This takes a REALLY long time, especially when you have 3 to ring up! For $19.99 each, they got a lightsaber, a pin (either a Jedi or Sith - their choice) and batteries to make it work. Not a bad deal. I just don't think I'd recommend it if you have a bunch of kids getting it done!
Here's each boy with his lightsaber:

With our Jedi's in tow, we headed outside to show Memere and Pepere (who were waiting for us outside).

Let the battle begin!

We then headed to the Lego store and let the kids play outside for a little while. On the way, we stopped to chat with these folks:

We gave the boys a choice of either picking out some legos OR waiting until Japan to get some Pokemon stuff. Owen decided to wait, but Sully is a boy of immediate gratification (wonder where he gets that from). He chose the legos.
Then Chuck decided HE wanted to fill a container with lego pieces. His reasoning was that he wanted to pick pieces that we needed for things at home. I just think he thought it would be fun. The rest of us waited outside, sitting on the benches next to the Lego store.
Once Chuck rejoined us, it was time to head back to the townhouse and change before we left for the Hoop Dee Doo.
Important Info
* Earl of Sandwich - $31
*Souvenirs - $85 (lightsabers) and $20 (legos)
Up Next...What will THAT GUY get himself into next?
still trying to play catch up, but I am loving your trippie! I have to ask what are purple citizen pins? I am all the way to day seven part one, but I need to get ready for bed, but I'll read tomorrow at work since I won't have anything to do.Your boys are so adorable! I can't wait to read/hear more

I don't really know much about them, but they're pins that guest services gives away. They're pins like the 1st Visit Pins (big, flat and round), not like the trading pins.
Just giving myself a bump as this was on the 2nd page
Some of you might remember me mentioning that my stepmother's dad (my grandfather) was not doing well shortly before our trip. He passed away yesterday morningI'm glad that Memere was able to enjoy her trip before he died and she went back and shared the fun time that we had with him. She showed him all of the crazy pictures of my dad's WDW star moments and he got a chuckle out of it
I will most likely be flying to Maine for the funeral, which will probably be Wednesday. Chuck is going to be out of town Monday-Tuesday afternoon, but I should be able to fly out that evening. I will probably get a chance to get a TR update before I leave, but in case I don't, I wanted you all to know why.
You're going when??
We headed outside to see if Miyuki (a.k.a. The Candy Lady) was out yet. Chuck was already standing behind the rope with Owen and Connor (good on ya, mate!). Sully and I took an open spot by the rope (not next to Chuck) and soon after she came out. She is just so funny to listen to! I love the way she talks as she's making the animals. And her talent truly is amazing. She makes it look so simple, but I have no doubt that it's much harder than it looks.
My favorite was the giraffe she made:

She kept choosing kids that were standing next to either Sully and I or Chuck and the boys. I was afraid she'd think we were with them and seeing as she only does one per family, I didn't think our odds were looking good.
Sully knew if he got chosen he wanted her to make a wolf. Shortly after that, she chose Owen (Owen's ended up being the last one she did). Sully knew this meant he wouldn't get to choose so he left to go sit with Memere and Pepere.
Owen chose a blue dinosaur.

You can see Owen watching her make his in this picture:

And then, somehow, the blue dinosaur turned into a fire breathing dragon![]()

While in the store, I had to take a picture of the Monchichis! I'd forgotten all about these guys until someone mentioned them in their TR (Winkers, was that you?).
