Has anyone else had issues with a Roku box?

I realize it is still under warranty so I assume it will be taken care of, but I had heard such glowing reviews of Roku that I am dissapointed.

Last night it just came on and said ROKU and never did anything else.

Today it wouldn't even come on. I unplugged it and plugged it back in and there was a series of pink and green lines on the screen but nothing else. It obviously has problems.

GRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!,

Dawn

Never mind.

Turns out it was the HDMI cable that went out.

Never mind.

Turns out it was the HDMI cable that went out.

I'm a bit curious more than anything... in what way did your HDMI cable go out? Do you mean it wasn't plugged in correctly, or was it physically damaged in some way?

NO IDEA!

It just simply stopped working. It makes the roku box have weird blue and pink lines on the screen and the Roku/tv watching never comes on.

I plugged in my DVR to the same HDMI to see what happened and it simply won't show anything, no picture, no recorded TV, nothing.

I plugged in a different HDMI cable and voila, the DVR works and the Roku box works.

It was indeed plugged in all the way.....it just doesn't work anymore. It doesn't look damaged and wasn't bumped or even touched....it just simply stopped working.

Indeed that is interesting, thanks for the explanation...

This is the type of problem I'd simply describe as "Awesome" :)

Glad it was an easy fix!
