Las Vegas our 1st Vegas trip in Sept- need advice

Ok so far I find a lot of promo from direct hotel sites are sold out for my dates 9-25--10-02. Hmmm

But the best I found is using YUUPON... anyone know of it?

I am getting Harrah's:

Room Type: Classic room with 25% off and Coupon Book for 985.60 (tax included) . Doesn't say what coupon book has in it?? If I go to Harrah's site same room is $1,282.40!! (tax included) What gives?

What is the difference of Palms and Palms Place?
Palms Place comes up in "strip 4+ stars" search on YUUPON, the rate is 613.69!! (tax included) +20-per day fee total 753.69

Palms is coming up
Room Typeeluxe $690.62 (tax included) with Breakfast Buffet ! +20-per day fee total 830.62

I like the Palms Place price for on the strip! No coupon book or anything though.

Other sites- MGM New Tower Queen 722.40 (tax included) +25-per day fee total 897.40

What do you guys think?

Maybe there is a large convention in town on your dates? You can do a search for convention dates and number of attendees.

As far as Harrah's, they are currently under construction as far as I know.

I would not suggest staying off the Strip (Palms) if you won't have a vehicle.

If you are looking for a clean place to stay for cheap with a great location, I would suggest Bill's Gamblin' Hall. Be sure to check reviews on TripAdvisor.

No conventions that I know of but found out my dates are during Vegas bike week We go to bike weeks and it is right up our alley! Too bad we cant bring the bike
But it will be fun to go to the "old Vegas" area and join in on the fun! Anyone ever been?

thinking... do you guys think staying at a different hotel for our first night since we can get Caesers for night 2-7 at a decent rate, but it is in the $700-800 for that first night. Not sure why because it is a Tues! But is moving going to be harder than it is worth?

Hi all

Any help would be appreciated!! Here is what I can tell you...

We were hoping we did not need a rental, would like to be on or very close to the main strip.
We want to see shows. Carrot Top is my all time fav so def going to Luxor for that!! YAY Not sure what else to see. Not big Beatles fans so what Cirque should we see? What other shows? Already saw Blue Man
We are simple beer drinkers
We are know to be up till all hours in the am when in a casino, and then sleep in late.
We will want to do rides!!
Shopping- heck ya!!! all kinds lol !!


Any advice on where to stay??

We peeked at MGM Grande and Luxor, Excalibar... and others and got anywhere from 500.00's to 1100.00's. We are thinking 700.00-900.00 for the week would be ok. Staying Tues to Tues makes for some decent prices. So what is your best hotel choices?? Again, looking for on or near strip, CLEAN, safe for walking- even late night. We love the Epcot/Spa feel with a mix of night lights and liveliness. Oh and we love seeing rock bands we are

There is Rock Vegas at Mandalay Bay the weekend we are there. Thinking it might be fun so we could get a package and stay there???

Now, I gotta ask, when and where did you see Blue Man? It is a very different show from any of their other venues and well worth seeing. You can get half price show tickets to most shows on the strip but get there before they open as they sell out of the popular shows(Cirque) FAST. Avoid Criss Angel's show at all costs. It is HORRIBLE. I have not seen any other Cirque shows but Le Reve' is supposed to be great. Also, Absynthe is really good as well. I loved Carrot Top and have seen him a few times! Be sure to check out the Titanic Exhibition at Luxor as well. It is amazing!

As for rock bands, look up Sin City Sinners on Facebook. They are a local rock band and put on a hell of a show! They usually have guest artists(I've seen Vince Neil, Vinnie Paul, and a few others) do a couple songs and sometimes a full set with them. Hope that helps!

Thanks for the info!! We saw BMG in Boston last year. Don't need to see it again, we want to do something totally different. He has never seen Carrot Top so can't wait till he does I got a link to get tickets for 95.00, not bad.

Anyone know how "new" new is??

It is not the nicer hotels center strip like we wanted, but those prices were too much AND most of them had days unavailable in our week.

That's a pretty good deal! They're still remodeling the main tower and just started it in October 2011 so less than a year old.
