After our meal, we made our way back outside to find that it had rained and the light crowds were now even lighter! We thought we were very lucky to have missed the downpour, so we made our way the next attraction: The Haunted Mansion. Hannah loves this ride so much, she can even recite Paul Friese's opening narration! I think I like this version better because Madame Leota's eyes open and look about on her tombestone just before the entrance. We both got a kick out of it!
After the ride let us out, we found it to be pouring buckets outside!!! The sky really opened up! we made a dash to the stroller so that we could put our ponchos on. I made the mistake of parking the stroller in the open air, and it got drenched during our 6 minute ride!
I asked Hannah if she wanted to call it a day, big fat "no-way" on that one!! so we went to the next ride on our list, the jungle cruise! We found that the fast pass machine was turned off and standby was 30 minutes. The amount of people standing there made a believer out of us, so we skipped it and went to the Tiki Room, a favorite of ours when we go to DL.
We both enjoyed the redo, and when the show ended, the rain had stopped, and they had begun to let guest back on Alladin's Carpet Ride, so we hopped on.
Then we explored the swiss family treehouse, Hannah thought it was a pirate's hideout.

Afterwards, we saw the line had disappeared for The Jungle Cruise, so we rode it. We were cold, wet and tired at this point, but we soldiered on! Luckily for us, it would not rain again for the rest of the night.
We made our way to Pirates, and boarded our own private boat, as there was no one around! afterwards, I remembered the 2 fastpasses for BTRR and as we were finished with the Dumbo touring plan with about an hour to spare before closing, We made our way over.
She said she would ride, as long as I did not let go of her. I thought she was very brave to ride without the earplugs, since the chain lift can be very loud. But she rode it, loved it, and raced me back to the entrance to ride again.
Afterwards, she reminded me that we had not seen Space Mountain, so it was off to the other side of the park. When we got there, They measured her. She is 44 inches in height, which is the minimum allowed. As they made her get under the measuring stick, she bent her knees to fit under ( she did not get the concept, I guess she thought this was some kind of limbo game!)
I did not argue when she was denied, as I didn't feel comfortable sitting behind her instead of next to her, like on most other rollercoasters. She's brave, but she still needs Dad's arm to hold on to
