Hi everyone!
My name is Stefanie & I have recently fallen head-over-heels in love with Disney World. So much so that I am aiming to work there one day in the near future. I just found this site and I think it is absolutely wonderful that there is a place I can go and talk about Disney World all I want to and know that I'm not annoying anyone!! :goodvibes I wish I had known about this website before my Disney trip so I could've taken everyone through the extensive planning that went into it! But, I can at least tell you about how WONDERFUL it turned out to be!

My boyfriend and I are actors who work with Kaiser Permanente's Educational Theatre Program. Essentially, we do theatre that really matters - theatre that reaches out to children and adults to teach about living a healthy lifestyle. We were in the middle of a tour of Give Peas a Chance (a show that toured to Elementary Schools teaching about healthy eating and physical activity) when we realized that in between this show and our next show (Mumferd's Safety Tales - a show about - aha! - safety! :lmao: ) we would have a week-long break. And what did we decide we needed in the week? A VACATION, of course!!!! And where did we decide to go? DISNEY WORLD!

Actually, the decision to go to Disney came about in the following manner...
Stef: So, darling, where should we go on our vacation?
Dan: I don't know, what do you think?
Stef: *thinking within a very tight budget* Well, we could go to Savannah (GA) or something...
Dan: What about Disney World?
Stef: *images of her last Disney trip - when she was 8 - flash through her head and prices WAYY too expensive for two just-out-of-college starving artists to afford begin reeling through her head* You know I would love to go, but isn't it too expensive?

Next thing you know, we're on the Disney World website checking prices for our vacation and booking and paying for everything THAT NIGHT! My first reaction? I cried. I cried in spurts all night out of the sheer disbelief that I was going to Disney World in ONE MONTH (yes, one month is all we had to plan our trip). I had always thought that Disney World was a place my parents couldn't afford to take me and I'd probably never be able to afford myself. But now I realized that it was actually happening to me.. Already a dream coming true!

Despite our rush to book our vacation and our limited planning time we really did crunch numbers and figure out the most affordable way to enjoy the vacation of a lifetime! :woohoo:

So at this point our plans looked like this:
Sunday, March 30th -
leave GA & head for Kissimmee!
Check in at Rodeway Inn (a cheap offsite hotel)
Check out Downtown Disney!
Monday, March 31st -
Check out of Rodeway
Check into Disney's All Star Movies Resort!!
parkhopper pass w/Dining Plan
Tuesday, April 1st -
parkhopper pass w/Dining Plan
Wednesday, April 2nd -
Check out of Disney's All Star Movies Resort :sad1:
parkhopper pass
Check into another cheap offsite hotel
Thursday -
Force myself to leave Kissimmee & head home!

I honestly could think of nothing else for the next month. I researched every park and every tip-giving website that I could find. I wanted to make sure I missed absolutely nothing! I was going to make sure that this vacation turned out to be everything I knew it could be!
