ouija boards

so recently i found out that my dance academy is or was haunted.
i'm pretty sure it still is considering me and a few friends had an encounter with it this weekend, before we found this out.
so i was wondering if any of yous have done/played ouija board.
if you have stories, do tell

I used to use my ouija board allll the time.
I think I'd be too freaked out to use one in a real haunted place, though, whenever I used mine it would just be at my house, and I'm pretty sure there are no restless spirits there.

It would actually move though, which was always really freaky.

I don't believe the ouija board. I have no proof that it can actually 'communicate with spirits' or whatever. It's just a piece of plastic.

i wouldn't want spirits following me either.
but my friends do it lots to communicate with her grandfather who passed away a few years back and his spirit is still in his house. and it works for her.
so i'm not sure what i would do.
i really want to help m y dance teacher though..

ITA! All my friends did it without me once (Thank god for Friday Night Football games) and they had a FREAKY experience with it. Ouija Boards are just asking for trouble, in my opinion.

But I was with my cheerleaders once and they TRIED to do it, (Although.. we didn't even really try lol) and my friend goes "Is there an ap for this?" (like the iphone commerial lol) it was so funny.

I've used it before. Had it move many times; sometimes made sense; sometimes not so much. Never had any lasting effects. I've got too much good Karma following me around that it scares the bad stuff away

but NEVER come close to it once I figured out the truth behind it.

It invites spirits into your house.
Spirits that possess particularly the youngest living thing in your house.


I'm a Ghost Hunters (paranormal) freak.
They were like "NO. YOU HAVE AN OUIJA BOARD? WHAT IS YOUR PROBLEM?"
and were freaking out when one lady had one in her house. So they explained what could happen and the potential of them.

I used it once when I was a lot younger...
but you don't understand what i live next door to...
Lets just say - Virginia is a VERY historic place....

I refuse to even come near it now.

I did a little equipment research, and you can but an EVP recorder starting around $20 and an EMV detector starting around $30. I think one of them would probably be around the same price as a ouija board and mould be more effective.

I don't believe them but Im still too afraid to try it...my friends did it at some abandoned mental institution and it spoke to them...stuff was banging...sounds so freaky.
