I'm just pricing up a holiday to Florida, for 3 weeks in Oct 2010.

And Theme Parks Tickets (7 days Disney, FlexPlus Ticket), are adding up to nearly as much and Villa, Car and Flight for the 3 weeks!!!!!

There's 6 of us, and it nearly £1,000 per person (all adults). Is this right?

How much do you usually spend per person when doing to Florida for Hotel, Car, Tickets and Flights?

Theme Park Tickets are getting way too pricey..I'm considering either just doing Disney or Uni etc... but I couldn't possibly chose!

I think you will find no matter where you look that all holiday items have gone up for Florida due to the weaker £. So it does pay to shop around and compare prices.

At the moment DH and I would be spending about £1800, each, for flights, hotel, car and park tickets.

Claire ;)

Tickets and park entries have been doing my head in for the last few weeks. There are so many offers with so many different people, it's almost hard to choose, especially since our plans aren't concrete - we do whatever we feel like doing!

This year we are doing Disney, Universal and SeaWorld, and been trying to figure out what is the best option! It looks like we're getting Annual Passes for SeaWorld and Disney. I know we will be back next year, so we're trying to think of now and the future, so it makes it even harder!

On the day entry to SeaWorld is about £50pp. VH (we might be doing FlyDrive) have SeaWorld tickets for £55pp, so already cheaper to go on-the-door for this one. However, don't know if it's any help to you, and will increase the initial outlay, but SeaWorld (direct) offers a create-your-own-annual-passport ticket. You can have SeaWorld and/or Busch Gardens, and then add on Aquatica and/or Adventure Island - it's pretty customizable.

Anyway, we are going to get an 2-year pass for just SeaWorld, which including tax works out at about £110pp. We are going back next year, probably twice, and then earlier the following year than we are this year, so we should be able to make it cover four different trips, so well worth the money. Especially if you consider that two trips on VH tickets would cost the same, plus you get 10% off park merchandise and food/drinks :goodvibes

are offering a 2-year annual pass for $149.95 plus tax (about £110), which gives you access to just SeaWorld. Although for more you can add on Aquatica, Busch Gardens and Adventure Island. On the day entry is $75.00 and VH are offering tickets at £55pp. So, just two trips on 2-yr pass makes that same as two tickets from Virgin.

Disney we're also getting an annual pass, and will certainly make very good use of that! Annual passes normally have extra benefits and special offers, so don't rule them out without thinking about them - I know, yet something else to take into consideration!

As for Universal, there's a 2-park Unlimited ticket floating around - some on offer give you 7 days consecutive use (Dreams Unlimited) and others give you 14 days (VH), but the prices vary slightly. We'll be getting one of them; which, we're not sure. That's about $99 + tax.

With the FlexiTickets, you have to be careful that you are going to get the most out of them. Our last offsite trip, we found we didn't really make use of them. We never visited Wet 'n' Wild, so already we had to visit the other parks more often in order to get our moneys worth, but didn't really happen. Aquatica wasn't around when we went, but now it is, it's another park we wouldn't use.

We'd only visit Universal and SeaWorld. The 2-Park unlimited and 2-year pass comes to only £180, and the FlexTicket is about the same. Only we aren't limited to '14 days after first use', we'll get extra discounts at SeaWorld, and be able to visit any time in the next 2 years!

Anyway, for our tickets this year - Disney annual pass, SeaWorld 2-year pass, and 2-Park Unlimited to Universal, it's going to be about £620pp (although will be a little cheaper for us as we'll get our annual passes through DVC).

Hope that helps a little?

Thanks, that's something else to think about. I don't know if Annual Passes will be any good, as this is going to be our last family holiday. Though we said that last yr too...so TBH I don't know.

We never go to Wet n Wild, but for Seaworld we go mutliple days at least 3 probably, we ike to go in the evenings sometimes to see the night shows. Where Aqautica we only went for one day last time..due to weather but we like to go more, and we probably only go to US and IOA, for a total of 3days...I'll have to look at different tickets.

If you're not going to do Aquatica, and maybe only one trip to US/IOA, you should definitely look into doing it separately. It's so easy to just say, oh hell, we'll pay the extra and buy it and not have to worry, but you can lose out. Don't forget, if you buy a regular SeaWorld ticket, you get a second visit free of charge, as long as it's within 7days. You just have to go to guest services on the way out, I believe, with your current ticket.

Me and the bf have only done one Orlando only holiday together (my others were with family so not 100% on the costings for those) and that worked out at about £1300 each for flights, hotel, car hire and Disney tickets for 2 weeks, I think the cost per person is less if more people go so it does work out more for a couple. That did include most of our food due to free dining but not additional park tickets which do bump up the cost. This year's holiday isn't Orlando only and is our most expensive one yet (unintentionally!) but it is for just under 3 weeks and Boston and New York aren't cheap cities, hopefully worth it though! ;) We're only doing WDW this year, partly due to cost but also because we don't particularly want to do any of the other parks again at this point. All things considered i'd say £1000 per person is pretty good for 3 weeks in Orlando :)

The prices do seem to be creeping up. :scared1:
This year has cost us £2800 for 28 days (7 days off site and 21 days ASMu) thats flights, hotels and car hire.
We're buying Annual passes to both Disney and Uni as buying tickets to cover the holiday for Disney was working out around £440-£460 each.
Uni was £290 each.
Last year I paid £186 for 21 day disney and now its at £244. :confused3
But we will not be deterred!! :thumbsup2

I would buy the 7 day 2 park ticket for Universal & IOA direct on UniversalOrlando site for $99.99 + tax.
I would then buy the Seaworld Funcard , direct on the Seaworld site, allows you entry up to 31st December so will cover your whole holiday, think its about $75 +tax approx.
Would definetly not buy the Flexi Ticket as its to expensive, and i would not be at W&W as there are better IMHO water parks to visit
Disney tickets i know nothing about offers as i prefer Universal to Disney.
