We went to Manchester this weekend to see David's parents. Had a lovely time until yesterday afternoon. We had been to the Trafford centre and had a lovely lunch at Frankie and Benny's but on the way from there back to his Mum's a guy ran into the back of us!
We were at a roundabout and bam he hit us. My little KA looks ok except for a few scratches and a cracked number plate but the boot is jammed shut.
I then had to drive from Manchester back to Derby.
We both woke up this morning with sore necks. Mine hurts at the top and across my shoulders, it also feels like it's burning. We have a doctors appointment for later today.
Hopefully my poor baby will get fixed soon too

Oh dear what a nightmare

Hope all of you (including your Ka!) are better soon

Oooh Emma, that sounds nasty. heres hoping a swift recovery for everyone involved :grouphug: Hope the doctor can do something for the pain for you,

Sounds really nasty Emma ~ At least you were all ok. Hope you feel better soon and that your little KA is repaired quickly :grouphug:

:grouphug: Hope you are both feeling better soon, and that the doctor can give you something to speed up the process.

hope everyone and the KA get better soon.....i love the trafford centre, i was there a few weeks ago!

random fact here for you....i used to go to school in south derbyshire...do you know of a place called Ockbrook?

Inform your insurance comapny of your injuries - you are probably due compensation for injuries suffered and you may be able to enjoy it in Florida!

Hi, thanks for all you kind words.

They can't pick up my little KA (Nellie) until Monday, luckily it is drivable.
The guy's insurance company was trying to dispute liability but mine said that because he went into the back of me they can't really despute it as it was his fault. The funny thing is I got a call from his insurance comapny yesterday saying that he had admitted liability :confused3
We went to the doctor and he said that David has mild whiplash in his neck and lower back. I have whiplash too and my neck muscles were in spasm. It should start to ease over the next few days but can take 5-6 weeks to totally clear up.
My insurance company is going to put in a personal injury claim, I wouldn't have done this if it didn't hurt but yesterday I felt like rubbish. So we'll just have to wait and see what happens.

kkymmy - yes I have heard of Ockbrook. David works in Derby now so we have driven around the surrounding area quite a bit :goodvibes

Hope you feel better soon, Emma, that sounds really painful :grouphug:
