Ouch, I gave myself a black eye.

So I go in my bathroom and we were out of toliet paper so I open the cabinet above the toliet to get some more but didn't close it. Afterwards I stand up bang my head on the cabinet, scream, stumble forward and fall right into the door knob giving myself a black eye.

How the heck does that happen? sounds ridiculous typing it out but sadly it's true.

So now I'm going to sit on my couch with my ice pack and watch Independence Day on HBO because Jeff Goldblum is HOT.

okay, I thought I was bad this morning with one eye open I reach up to get the new roll, get what I need and then put the roll back where I got it from!! Didn't even bother to put it on the spindle!! Later I realzied what I had done!!

Sorry for laughing and I feel bad about your black eye but hell you got my day started off with a bang ( no pun intended)

A friend of mine fell down the stairs and hit her head and needed stitches as well as getting a black eye. Her DH took her to the ER and they wouldn't let him in the exam room with her. The Dr and nurse kept asking her if she felt safe at home, etc., etc. She was somewhat confused about all the attention for a couple stitches until the social worker showed up and it dawned on her that they thought her DH hit her. Oops. She kept telling them, no, I REALLY did fall down the stairs. It was good that they were so cautious but pretty funny too. Her DH is one of the most mellow guys we know. It's a good thing you didn't need stitches because that would have been one heck of a story to tell the Dr .

If it makes you feel better, I have done this twice. Both times on vacation.

The first time, I actually walked into a plate glass door. It was really embarrassing. That black eye was not too bad.

The second time, I slipped and hit my head on the corner of a wall. THAT one was really, really bad. I had to go to the urgent care clinic and have them check to see if I broke my eye socket. The bruise covered all my eye, upper and lower, and even went out to my temple. I got that black eye three months ago and you can still see a slight shadow under my eye. Thank goodness for concealer!
