Otterbox for Ipod 4

The Otterbox is definitely worth the money. It's saved my phone more than a few times.

I have the Lifeproof case (different than Otter Box, but same idea). Phone has been dropped in snow, in a toilet, dropped on concrete numerous times and has come out unharmed each time. The case has little dings, but the phone itself hasn't been touched. I went with this with a 2 year old who can climb anything and loves to flush everything. Glad I did!

I switched from Otterbox to Life Proof recently. This way I was fine with my iPhone at WDw, took photos from Splash Mt, sent them right to my Facebook status, lol. Lifeproof is thinner too, waterproof, and has a surface that will slide out of your pocket easier than the Otterbox. However, IF you wanted to attach the iPhone with Lifeproof to headphones, you would need a little extender thing (included). I never do that, so that is fine.

That said, I liked my Otter box cover too. DD had trouble with her, the thing that opens for charging got loose. OH, the Lifeprrof comes in a sweet purple, too. DD got the white one. I got her on Ebay (NEW) and saved $25, and it came in 2 days.

I bought an Otterbox for my iPod Touch (4th gen) after I broke the screen when it fell out of my pocket in a restaurant. It's cracked but still works - I called Apple and the customer service rep told me how much it would be to send it in to repair (I'd only had it a few weeks - DH had bought it for me) and then she said as long as it was still working, she'd just go to Walmart and get an Otterbox for it (that's what she did for her DD). So I took it there and found one that was the right size (they do vary depending on what item they are made for so be sure to read the box). The young man who sold it to me actually put it on for me (so I could be sure I was getting what I wanted) and said it was a little late to be buying one But that was over six months ago and it still works fine. I rearranged some of my apps so I'm not as likely to press over the area where it's cracked.

So OP, definintely get OtterBoxes or the like for your iPod.

I have a Defender for my 4s. I think it provides great protection but I am not thrilled with the quality. I received mine as a Xmas gift and by March the flap that covers the mute switch had started to tear and the rest of the rubber case seems to be stretched.

It will need replaced soon and I'm not sure what I'm going to do.

It has a warranty. Go to the Otterbox website and shoot them an email. I had mine replaced because the silicone stretched.
