Ottawa International Animation Festival

My BF and I both love animation, so when he told me about the Ottawa International Animation Festival I got pretty excited.

AND it turns out... they have a dedicated portion of events just for Disney animation - Walt Disney Pioneers of Animation!! So I thought I'd share, just in case someone in Ottawa or near Ottawa wants to go.

It runs from September 17-21, with various venues.

Wow!! Thanks for sharing. This sounds amazing. Living in Ottawa I'd heard of this event before but had never really looked into it. This one sounds particularly interesting:

As The Little Mermaid celebrates its 25th anniversary this year, the film's directors Ron Clements and John Musker are still busily working at Walt Disney Studios on new projects. The duo has collaborated on several Disney features including Aladdin (1992), Hercules (1997), Treasure Planet (2002) and The Princess and the Frog (2009). Clements and Musker will share stories from their years at the legendary studio and the fine art of directing some of the world's most memorable films.

Thanks so much for the information, I've just passed it on to my DS16 who is really interested in animation. He was already going to attend a Comic Jam at the Ottawa School of Art on Saturday evening but I didn't realise about the other events. Unfortunately I'm away but I've passed the info to the friend's he is staying with.

I was just reading about the Magic of Animation sessions at DHS, we've never done them before but we'll be back in March. Have you been, if so, do you get some good information for budding animators?
