Other Tipping

As my cruise gets nearer, I have more questions (only 9 1/2 months to go but who's counting?).... I have the regular tipping straight, but what about the Kids Club Counsellors, the Spa, and Room Service??? Do they get tipped? If so, do you put it on your card or pay cash? Am I missing anything?

Room service tips do not get put on your card. Take some ones (we took about $50 in ones from tips on this board but did not need that many). Usually room service tips are $1 to a couple of $$ depending on what you order. DH usually just ordered coffee in the mornings.

Kids club counselers are not supposed to be tipped with cash or on the KTTW cars. Some people do bring 'gifts' such as phone cards, things special from your region of the country, gift cards from Bath & Body, etc. to tip them.

I am not sure about the spa.

I like the idea of the gifts from our region for the kids club, but do you know how many we would need to bring? I'd be so afraid of leaving anyone out....

I don't remember the exact number of counselers in the clubs. There are a lot. Most people just 'tip' the ones that their child gets especially close to. Depending on the age of your child they may spend part of the time in the club and part in the lab. Our DD7's age group spent about half of the time in each place. So the number of couselers can be great. If you were just bringing a small token it wouldn't be that bad. Someone else may know the exact number.

Standard for spa treatments is 20%. 10-15% is fine for things like the surieal bath where they don't really do much for you.
