If I wanted to rent points for the Contemporary Resort with a Magic Kingdom View, where could I find the point chart for that? Thanks for any help.

There's nothing on-line anywhere. The only 'charts' are the ones that DVC members receive in their 'planning' book that they get every year.

I once did a calculation and looked at all the non-DVC resorts where a member could use their points, including the Disney Collection, Concierge collection, World Passport collection, etc. It came to over 1,000 different entries. That's probably why no one has offered to make a chart and put it on line. DVC-members don't need anything on line since they have a book.

If you post your specific dates and room type, maybe someone will look up the points in their book for you. We're at SSR right now and don't have our book with us.

On the DVC Member site, click on "View Vacation Points Charts" under Plan My Vacation and select Walt Disney World Resort in Florida under The Disney Collection. The Contemporary point chart is on page two. The range is from 44 - 63 per night for Sun - Thurs and 79 - 113 per night for Sat - Sun with a Magic Kingdom View depending on the season.

If you're not a member and you're looking to rent a reservation for CR - MK view from a member........you're not going to save money. In fact, you'll probably spend quite a bit more than you would by calling up CRO and paying rack rate.

When you hear people talk about saving money by renting points, they're talking about stays at the DVC resorts. While a DVC member can book a reservation at CR on points, it's a trade out of the system for us, and the point rates are far higher than they would be for DVC villas. There's also a $95 trade fee that you'd have to pay.

OK, just looked up specifics on your dates. CR - MK view is 63 points per night, Sun-Thurs, and 113 points a night, Friday and Saturday. Figure $12 a point, minimum, plus the $95 fee. Rack rate for the same room is $500/$520. You can see what a bad deal that would be.

Just as a point of comparison, you can get a concierge studio at AKV for the same time period for 23/45 points.
