other people in your pictures?

That My mom and I are in some other peoples Photos.. But They wanted it that way!!

For the last 2 years of the Halloween Party my 60yr old mom (Who thinks she can sew a beautiful princess dress, but they all come looking like a servent dress of the 1700's time period) And I who she has made my "Villians" costumes Because even though Im 26 own my own house, have 2 kids and is married she cant understand paying 50-100 dollars on a costume on something she can make for 10 dollars! (this includes my Hubby Costume who she made last year as Hercules)
So while going threw the Magic Kingdom we always get asked to be in some familys photos.. So I know we are in them.. Last year we were in a record 5 familys photos!

Oh to this year... She is already making "Sleeping Beauty's Dress" (And we all know it will look exactly as her dresses from the last 2 years, Belle and Cinderella only this one will be Pink..
:rotfl2: :rotfl2:
Geeze I love my mom!!!

This makes me think of the guy in this year's Disney planning video--you know the one who deliberately puts all these strangers in the picture...I was thinking of doing one or two of those just for the heck of it this year, with those who look willing that is. And I like what the other poster said--"I think of them as some of my distant relatives..."

Oh my - this is a fun story.

It was the mid-90s - our last trip with then-15YO DS - and we were at Epcot, near where FW & WS connect. There was a big asian family (12-15 people) gathering for a picture. They obviously had one of those "timer" cameras, as one person put the camera on a cement post then ran to join the group. We were just walking by as this happened, so I stepped behind them - at 6'4" I was taller than any of them - got in the photo, then kept walking. What we all found the funniest of all was that no one noticed, since they were all watching the camera - and since this was before digital cameras, they wouldn't discover me in their shot. For the record, the did the same shot 3 or 4 times afterwards, so I know I didn't ruin a "once-in-a-lifetime" photo. But I still wonder if I'm part of some family's travel records....

You got a big HEE! Out of me :teeth: :rotfl: You may be the talk of the vacation photos back home. :flower:

One time at an aquarium my friend got a picture of someone who looked like Kenny Rogers to submit to http://menwholooklikekennyrogers.com/

My son, while an outgoing 5 year old, got into a wedding photo of another family, the photographer, not knowing who this kid was, placed him in the next 10 shots or so. Everyone in the group thought he was some distant cousin they just didn't recognize. When they finally realized it, they got a good laugh and kept all those pictures. They told me they would be able to make up all sorts of stories about the mystery kid.

I have some old pics from my first trip to dw in 1979.....and for some reason we have a picture of Mickey with some random kid....not sure what my parents had for breakfast that morning that they didn't recognize their own child....everytime I look at that picture I laugh....I often wonder who she is.

Scan the old picture in and post it... it may be one of us!!!

This is awful, but if it's a scenary/landscape shot I will edit them out....I felt really bad the first time I did it. It was a shot of one of the buildings in UK part of Epcot worldshowcase. Just as I had taken what I thought was a perfect shot some woman strode past. So there I am a few months later with Photoshop removing that lady and her very large backpack from my photo. I feel really guilty about it too...erasing her from my life. Not so much that I haven't done it a few other times with my Epcot pictures, and one of The Partners statue at MK!!!! It's just her I remember really vividly! If it's family shots I do leave anyone else that joins us in, however..I kind of need all the family I can get!

I have a picture of myself and my sister in a DL photo from 1980 with a fox in a cloak (I know, it's terrible that I don't know which character this is! I am hanging my head in Disney shame! If anyone does know, please clue me in!) with some random people to the side. I have that picture framed on my wall and I look at it all the time and wonder who the heck those people are, LOL! I have wondered that my whole life while looking at that picture!!! :confused3

The non-Disney story:
We went to Pismo Beach in the mid-80s with Mom and our grandparents. My grandmother, who hates having her picture taken, agreed to let us take one of her sitting on the beach on a blanket. When we got the pictures back, there is some guy in the background, at the waterline, bent into an inverted "V" crawling on the beach with feet and hands!!!! We laughed hysterically at this!! No idea if the man was disabled or it was just some weird training thing...he is wearing red athletic shorts and seemed to be in great physical shape, so we could never tell for sure. :rotfl2:

If I could ever track any of these people down, I would be overjoyed to discover "the people behind the mystery"! :grouphug:

This didn't happen at WDW but involves a DIS member so its applicable.

As per the photo in my sig, we sailed Carnival Paradise in June '04. A fellow DIS member saw that photo and recognized us. Turns out she was on our cruise and we actually met on the ship but didn't know of the DIS connection we shared. After she contacted me here, she e-mailed me some photos from the cruise. In one of them, DW and I are sitting right next to her. Almost looks like we all posed together.
