A DISer noticed his family in a picture I had posted in my signature awhile back. He pm'd me that he noticed his family in my sig! Small world! :teeth:

That was me and my father-in-law. It's weird to see yourself as a background person in someone else's picture.

This has happened to me, although not at Disney. I saw myself in a picture on the internet on me on a rollercoaster at my favourite English theme park. I saw it on a fan site for the park.

One of these days, I'm sure I'll pop up somewhere!! :rotfl: Not in a Disney photo tho... in 1973 the Boy Scout Jamboree in Pennsylvania, my dad was Scoutmaster, there hadnt been any Eagle Scouts, so he challenged the scouts and promised to take them to the Jamboree, 2 Scouts made it, so we did a family camp, I was a Girl Scout, and helped dad with the bookkeeping for the Troop... OK, so I wore my Girl Scout uniform, you'd think I was some sort of celebrity!! :rotfl: Some Boy Scouts (my whole family wore their uniforms!) would ask my mom or dad if they could take my picture, so we would stop and that Scout would take my picture, and a few more Boy Scouts would run to snap a pic also.. :rotfl2: After about the 3rd instance, my mom took a picture of the Scouts taking a pic of me! And its hilarious how many (maybe 30) from all angles ran to snap!! :rotfl2: Now that I'm working with the Scouts, I keep asking who went in 1973, havent found anyone to admit they were there!! :rotfl:

We don't have a picture of this, but DH and I often discuss this subject while we're there and had a funny moment. While waiting for the parade and Wishes one night, we were across the street from a young couple and their infant. They were changing his diaper...quite effectively I might add - they made everything look much easier than it normally is. However, in the process, the baby boy was being held up naked for awhile. I got tickled about it and told DH I wished I knew the family so one day when the kid was 18 I could say, hey everyone in WDW saw you naked. That would have been an interesting background shot. :rotfl: But seriously, we talk about that all the time...wondering how many people have us in their pictures and scrapbooks. It's a strange thought, but you know it's true!!

Several years ago we were at Epcot, DH was trying to take a picture of the fountain in Italy. He hates to have people in his pictures, so often we wait forever to get his shot. Anyway we were there during Spring Break, so there were crowds and I was getting tired of waiting around. :rolleyes1 DH sensed my frustration and finally just took the picture. When we got home and had them developed we saw the fountain pic, and there was an old man walking past the fountain and adjusting his underwear! :earseek: DH was so mad, but it is still one of my favorite pictures. :earsgirl:

Back in 2001 during our July trip, my husband and I went to CRT for dinner. Every trip we have, we do one nice meal that we get dressed up for. This particular trip, my husband wore his black suit and I wore a white dress (nothing extravagant as it was still very hot outside). We wore our Mickey & Minnie bride and groom hats just for fun as we were celebrating our first anniversary a few weeks belated (we weren't able to go on our actually anniversary due to some conflicting schedules). We had forgotten our hats for our honeymoon and really wanted to wear them this time. So we had fun wearing them. As we were rushing to get to our ressie on time, people actualyl kept stopping us and requesting a picture with us. I think they thought we just got married. I mean I think it's hilarious...WHY would you request a picture with a couple you don't even know?! We're not in the background...we're the main thing. We had parents coming up to ask asking us to hold their children so they could get a picture of us all. And no, none of them thought we were characters (don't know what would give them that impression anyway)...they all asked us when we got married and where we were staying. We always laugh about how these people are going to look at their photos years from now and see the "unknown couple" they took a picture of.

I just think that there's a lot of magic in getting married! Plus, those Minnie & Mickey wedding ears are a hoot! I'm glad that you wore them. I'd NEVER get DH to wear them. He thought that when I got ears for DD & DS that it was the stupidest thing he'd ever seen them wear. Well, I set him straight on that one! Well, at least tried to.

But I know that when we got married, we wore our wedding attire to the hotel that night. We had all sorts of photos taken of us by tourists (we live in the D.C. area), as well as a video camera trained on us while we checked in! I've always wondered if those mysterious photographers kept the photos after all this time...

I make a family calendar each year with family pictures for each month.

When we went to Chicago this past winter my oldest dd took a picture of my youngest dd and had her brother walk through looking like a lost tourist holding a map and looking up at the skyline.

Everyone who saw that picture wondered why I made one with that person in it. I had to tell them to look closer and then they saw it was my son David-they all crack up laughing, I'll see if I can post it, I have no idea how to do pictures on the DIS, but I"ll try and figure it out.

DD and I were at MNSSHP last October 31st. My camera had been acting up just prior to our trip and I took the darn thing in to be tested. They assured me that the camera was AOK! Well as it turned out it wasn't!

I had asked a fellow DIS'er who had posted some pics if he would be so kind as to email some of his pics of that night, especially the parade! Well wasn't I in shock when he did and who do I see but DD and I watching the parade!

It was better than taking pics myself! Usually I'm not in the pictures! This time I had proof positive that I was actually there!LOL

Thanks to him, his pictures truly made it a Magical Night!

UGHHHH!!! We were at Epcot today, and I was trying to get pics for my DD and her great grandmother with the Pooh Topiaries in the UK pavillion, and people just kept walking in between us, even after I said something. I can't believe others are that oblivious!!!!

Me and DH went on a family vacation with my aunt, uncle, and three cousins during the week of New Years. It was horribly crowded and I had my cousin take a pic of me and DH about half way down Main Street. After I got the pictures developed, I noticed some man a little further down the street behind us smiling and waving :cool1: ...I then realized it was my uncle! He slid right in the picture without us even noticing. Now it is my favorite picture out of all my trips.

I have often wondered how many pictures that I've ended up in.

Another time, some of my co-workers discovered that one of my staff was on the front of a brochure for the Williamsburg Waterpark (about 30 miles from our office). They thought it was funny to photocopy it numerous times and hang it all over the walls on the office with stuff written under it like - "Wow! This girl has an uncanny resemblance to Mary." Took me a little longer to catch on that it really was her :earboy2:

I took a picture of my parents on the Congo River rapids at Busch Gardens I can only hope that the guy behind them didn't really intend to be giving the finger. I think it's just the way he's holding his jacket and sunglasses in one hand.

When we returned from our December trip, I posted my photo albums (links below).. One woman (can't remember her name) here on the Dis, found her family in a few of my parade pics from MVMCP!

Us! We're in HollyJoy's parade pictures. It was fun to see!! I knew before hand that we had LTT PS's for the same MVMCP night, and when HollyJoy posted her photos, sure enough I saw that she was standing across from The Diamond Horse Shoe - and we knew we were right in front of the Diamnond Horse Shoe, so I started lookign carefully, and found us!!

My DH and I are wearing black shirts, and standing right behind the pole. My oldest DD is at the very far right bottom corner of this picture. She's wearing pink pants and a black shirt.

I forgot one of the pictures we took last year! We were in the Land right before they closed everything and there was an Imagineer in there with plans looking around at the area. I took a picture of him, just because I thought it was fun...having a picture of the work. ;) I know I'm silly, DH thought it was goofy too. I think it's quite fun. :earboy2:

As we were walking down the street toward ToT yesterday, before I even saw this thread, there were the photographers taking the family pics with ToT in the background. Two or three times, we would just get passed when the family would say cheese and the pic would be taken. And I wondered out loud, 'In five years of having AP's, I wonder how many pictures of my butt other people have framed in their houses' :flower:

I always consider the people in the background of my family pictures or videos a part of my distant relations. They are seometimes my favorites too cause they never give me grief or ask to borrow money.

At DW they are always my favorites cause anyone who loves Disney is O'Hana to me.

Slightly Goofy (who is in a bunch of your pictures too)

well my story is that we were the other people in someones vacation pictures. when we decided tro get married we decided to get marrried at Niagra falls. Bridal Vail Falls is where the ceremony was held. well i really didnt notice until the ceremony was almost over but after i was told to kiss the bride i realized that we had quite a crowd of people watching and taking pictures of our wedding. in fact the person taking the video for us took some shots of people taking pictures of us. we still get a laugh today thinking that we are in someones vacation photo album.

VERY Good thread choice!

Last week I was trying to sneak some picture taking of one of the imagineers while at AK. DH was pushing me in my wheelchair and he would wiz me ahead and I was turning back to get a good picture. The imagineer was touring with a small group and I REALLY wanted a pic of him. The first picture I took, was of a lovely man's rotund stomach. A very nice close up (since it was at eye level). The second one I took, he is surrounded by the group, but you can just barely make out his face. I have a bunch of people in the shot:

But in a close up, you can clearly make him out! :)

DH and I talk about this too. We MUST be in at least a few pictures out there on walls, in photo albums, online picture websites....ect :)

I have some old pics from my first trip to dw in 1979.....and for some reason we have a picture of Mickey with some random kid....not sure what my parents had for breakfast that morning that they didn't recognize their own child....everytime I look at that picture I laugh....I often wonder who she is.
