Has Anyone been to The Kahala Hotel & Resort or The Modern or The Ritz Carlton?

Yes, all three.

Kahala is a neat place, but pretty isolated and a little old. Good for a quiet adult trip. I assume the ritz has fabulous rooms but the location is not real good. The Modern is in the Illikai I think. Other than Ko Olini or turtle bay, I would go with the big 6 in Waikiki, Reef, Halekulani, Sheraton, Royal Hawaiian, Outrigger or the Moana
