Not quite Disney-like but I went last spring I stayed at White Oak Lodge and Resort in Gatlinburg. Beautiful, huge cabin with an amazing view and a hot tub on the porch to boot!
Riverstone Resort is really nice. There is an indoor pool, lazy river, playground, game room... We stayed in a 4br condo several years ago and it was awesome. Immaculately clean, next to Dollywood, and a short drive to the attractions.
Margaritaville Island Hotel is amazing!! The place is unlike any other hotel and puts you right in the middle of the Island. I would recommend a village view. The rooms and detail ranks right up there with Disney. Beautiful rooftop pool with wonderful views. This has become my #2 vacation spot after Disney!

Hmmmm. I had not considered this resort because I thought it would be cheesy, but now I am second guessing. The only pool is the rooftop one though? What if your afraid of going on top of the roof?

Did you realize that Riverstone Resort was designed by the same man that designed Old Key West? I can see several similarities to a Disney resort as far as room layout and design.

Guess I should have confirmed my information first. I knew I had read this several years ago when we stayed there. I went back to try to find where I had read that. All I could find was that the landscape architects were the same. (They also designed Atlantis.) I really thought I remember reading that the resort architect was the same as well. But now I can't find it. Just wanted to clear up any misinformation I had given.

Not cheesy at all. I have never seen a hotel with such beautiful decor. You will definitely feel pampered here. And the rooftop pool is not a bit scary. It is a very large area, even has a bar (I had a great nonalcoholic drink) and lots of seating areas. Beautiful views. I have stayed here twice and can't wait to go back.
We stayed at Resort at Governor's Crossing and were pleased with the amenities- indoor and outdoor pools with features/slides, lazy river, playground, very small mini golf, game room, and 2 br suite with kitchen, washer and dryer. I have not stayed in a villa at Disney but I would expect the same layout. It isn't as modern and up to date but it's pleasant and we would go back. Also near grocery shopping and restaurants and very short to Dollywood.
