I have been reading this thread closely, but have a few questions for our upcoming trip. We have never stayed at any of the Epcot resorts, and I'm so excited!!! I have been considering DVC for a while, and trying to get DH on board. He's not a Disney fanatic like I am :confused3 We are staying at our first DVC property this fall, and I'm sure he will be hooked.

We will be in a 1 BR at BCV (booked through CRO--hoping a code comes out soon!!). Does anyone know what size coffee maker is in the room (i.e. how many cups)? Are there extra filters or should I bring some (basket or cone)? Extra coffee? Mugs? DH and I are java freaks and these are very important questions!!!

What is stocked in the kitchen in terms of plates and silverware? Are there ice cube trays?

What is the internet situation like? At our last visit at CR (12/07) they had both computers and internet access available at no charge. DH is going to need to do some work, and is wondering if he will have to bring his laptop.

I've heard some negative reviews about the bus situation at the Epcot resorts (i.e. long waits, all 5 resorts sharing a bus etc.) We will be relying on Disney transportation. Are we better off walking over to the YC bus stop to make sure we get a seat? We have 2 young kids (ds 5, dd 2), and I don't think they could stand all the way to MK without stepping on people's toes. Where is the YC bus stop anyway?

Also, what are the tax benefits I should be aware of in making my case for a DVC property? We would not finance our down payment.

TIA

We have never had any problems with busses at the BCVs. Most complaints seem to revolve around the BWV.

just adding to previous post:
the coffee makers use basket filters (mousekeeping will replenish daily on a CRO/non-DVC stay daily tho).
we've found that BW/BC/YC bus crowds similar :confused3 . btw, we found the DTD buses too crowded ~ that is the only time we drive to a "park".

side note: we noticed a huge increase in crowds on the ferries in the past year (almost all SRO) ~ they have apparently become very popular for non-EPCOT resort guests getting between DHS & EPCOT. hopefully, the ferry situation will be addressed soon.:)

we haven't had any real probs with MK or AKL buses in years of BW/BC/YC.

You won't be pleased with the coffee DVC provides and it won't be enough. We typically buy a canister of the Maxwelhouse filter packs. That way it doesn't matter the basket type. MHouse is not our favorite, but it is better than those tiny packs of what ever it is. We use 2 packs for 6 cups of water (robust). :)
