My dd2 just threw up all over me in my bed! She had just cuddled up in my lap and suddenly started to squirm. She sat up and just hurled all over me, my pjs, the down comforter, the sheets, the pillows, everything!

DH is out of town, so I had both dd's in my bed for a little slumber party night!...so much for the slumber!

You poor thing (your DD to), that sucks. I hope you have a strong stomach!

Good luck.

Yuck! Not a good way to start the night!

This won't help you much, but just be glad she got sick on the bed and not on the carpet. Sheets are MUCH easier to clean up than the carpet! My DD got it all over her floor once when she was a toddler. It took several applications of Resolve before the smell came out. Ugh!

Good luck, and I hope she feels better soon!

Oh I know just how you feel. Yucko! That happend to me two years ago while DH was away on a business trip. I had DD and DS in bed with me as we always do when Daddy is away and DD woke up and threw up all over the sheets. DS was just a toddler so it was awful waking him up to clean up the sheets and get new ones on after I had attended to DD. Well she seemed okay and wanted to go back to sleep....another hour later she was up again throwing up. :( That one woke DS up again and then he fell into a crying fit and none of us got any sleep that night. UGH! Poor DD ended up with an awful stomach bug. I hope your night does not go so bad and you all get some sleep.

It has always amazed me that I, as a Mom, can overcome the inate reaction of tossing my child across the room when they start to retch and actually hold them close and let them puke all over you.

Ahhhh.. that's a mother's love!

I'm going to guess that you don't have dogs? Sorry, but just had to ask that.

This never happens when my DH is at home...always when he's out of town. Been there and done that...so sorry for you! Hope you got a little sleep, anyway.

My DD almost made it to the bathroom one night...ended up in the hallway right outside...on the floor, the walls...then into the bathroom and all over the room-even on the walls above my head-no idea how she managed that!!! I actually sat down and cried, cause I didn't even know where to start! The things you have to do when you have kids! :)

I'ts amazing how far kids can project that stuff. :scared:

The dog comment made me LOL :lmao:

Yea, sorry about the dog comment but we have two dogs (along w/DD4). i'm always cleaning up throw-up on the rugs from one of our two dogs.

I feel for you. My Dd's had been passing the stomach bug back and forth for over a month. When each one had their turn at being sick, they would obviously throw up, but it seemed to happen more during the night. There were several nights that I had to change the sheets 2 or 3 times and comforters too. I got to the point where i got all the linens out if I even thought they would be sick, that way we would be prepared. DH works thrid shift so it was always me doing the cleaning. They sleep in my bed so of course I ended up with it on me too. Thank god that i never got sick too.

I do tell them that if they are goign to throw up to do on the bed. Replacing sheets is nothign compared to replacing a carpet.

That is the truth! DD didn't quite make it to the bathroom once and she blessed our new house and our lovely (and new) off white carpet. Stomach acid + off white carpet= you get to buy a new carpet. :sad2:

At least I do not feel bad now...I tell my DD and DS that if they feel they aren't going to be able to get to the bathroom in time, just stay in bed and do it there or lean over the side of the bed and get the hardwood floor! Neither situation is pretty, but its certainly easier clean up than having to scrub walls and steam clean carpets.

Oh my gosh:eek: I can't tell you how many times that has happened to me with both of my kids. The worst part is trying to get your top off without getting it all in your hair:crazy2: Hope she feels better soon and number 2 manages to make it to the bathroom or a bucket when she gets it next week:joker: . I feel for you especially with the hubby out of town. Hang in there;)

Oh, I literally feel your pain. My two year old woke me up this morning by throwing up on me.

UGH.

I loved the comment on how you know you love them when you don't throw them across the room.

I think this is the same bug she had about two weeks ago .... throws up once and it's done. UGH. We changed clothes and came and slept on the couch.

I've been feeling queasy for about three weeks now ... ugh. I just want it to be over.

Throwing up at my house is called a "Throat Lizard". When my DD was about 2, she woke me up crying. When I went in to calm her and give her hugs she explained that she had a throat lizard. "A throat lizard? I don't understand". Next moment, vomit all over me, the wall and the bed!!
I'm guessing that horrible heavy feeling you get in the back of your throat made her think of a lizard?
I just have to remember to tell anyone watching her that if she mentions a "throat lizard" don't start looking for a new pet, run to the bathroom.
Ugho for you.....hope everyone is better!!
