We just watched Unforgotten- Twenty-five years after Willowbrook in my Special Education class. As I'm typing up my paper, I was wondering- has anyone else seen this movie? And if so, what was your reaction?
I have no idea how hard it must be to raise a child with any disability. But my teacher was explaining to us how even after parents found out what was going on in the facility, many just transferred their children to a different facility. So I guess I'm also wondering, if you have seen the movie, and you were in their shoes, would you have brought your child home or transferred?
