Has anyone stayed at the Whispering Pines Campground in Bracebrige?
It is the one by Santa's Village.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.
We are planning to stay in a cabin the first week in July.
Thanks!

We've only tented at the Santa's Village campground. Standard campground experience there but a pool, no lake to swim in. The pool tends to get crowded after the day at the park ends. Nice thing about it though is we walked from the camping spot to the amusement park in 5 min or less. (Faster than a Disney bus from a moderate/value resort)

We were actually scheduled to stay there during the power outage a few years back!! We were camping at Arrowhead at the time and were planning to spend a couple of days at Santa's village. Turned out we just stayed put!! However we have been there (Santa's village) a couple of times. It looked ok. Do they still offer a deal with tickets and stay? It would have been nice to go back for meals etc. The kids could always use a little break. They had a pool. I think there is still sports arcade and go carts. The two times we did go we just drove down from camping at Huntsville and Minden.

It's a pretty basic campground. The pool is nothing special. There's a playground, and I believe they had different nightly activities. I know we went down and saw a movie one night. It was clean, and the site was big enough for our huge 10x18 tent. ;)

We did the camp and park tickets, and definitely worth the $. Most of the rides are really geared for younger ones. kids were 3 and 6 when we went, and DD's feet touched the floor on the little "merry-go-round". :rotfl:

The favourite part for DD was getting to ride the real ponies over and over and over!

I think my kids grew up way too fast ... I was just thinking that our Santa's village trip was 7 years ago.

I hear ya there little lady! DW wants to go back this summer with the 3 kids, but DS3 would be the only one really enjoying it. DD6 and DS9 would not really find anything exciting. They'd prefer the provincial park experience with lake swimming and real fishing.

It is definately family camping. The sites are pretty close together and there is a playground and a pool. We enjoy it as it was pretty quiet all around early in the night. Santa's village is right across the street so it's easy to walk there, come back for lunch and head back again.
