I have been to 3 stores trying to find a kid size tv, closer to a 13 in but semi decorated (ya know, like spongebob, barbie, etc?). Well the only ones I found today were pink! I know, I know, I shouldn't be focused on stereotyping colors etc in this day and age, but I refuse to have a bright pink barbie TV in his room :rotfl:

Anyway, has anyone had any luck? If I need to, I will break down and buy a 20" for $120, but if I don't have to I won't. Sorry if I seem picky. I finally got him in his own BED, and out of the crib and all I have in the room is a ginormous TV that I cannot set up off the ground for safety reasons, so I want something as small as possible, but something he can still see. Any suggestions?

I found this one, and although it has floral bits in the corners (small), you could probably put stickers on that and decorate it yourself...

Then there's a plain black one...

And a Spongebob one...

I completely sympathize, it was hard to find one that wasn't Princess or Bratz!

I suggest not getting him a TV. When pregnant with our twins, we converted the attic into a bedroom and sitting area, with a TV, for dd, who was then 6. Fast forward 6 years, and we haven't seen her since. She sleeps on the futon in the sitting room, instead of in her bed, because she can no longer sleep without the TV. She never watches TV with the rest of the family. I miss her. Ds10 keeps asking for one - no way!!!!:guilty:

We found kid t.v.'s at Walmart last year.(there were Mickey one's for boys and princess for girls)

A friend told me she found Mickey TVs somewhere but didn't know where...

I went to Walmart last night and all they had was a pink and white one :(

That first one is exactly like the one I saw there, except the one I saw was pink! I like that one....too bad its sold out online Thanks for looking!

My son has this Lightning McQueen one: http://disneyshopping.go.com/disney...d=-1&categoryId=14678&catalogFromSearch=10002 It has a DVD player built in (a must for us), but they also have one that is a bit less expensive that is without the DVD player on it. I've seen them at Walmart as well.

Then when we were at ToysRUs (right before Christmas) they had a really cute Spiderman one .... I found it online at Walmart but it says that it isn't available. http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=5053496&findingMethod=rr

Maybe if you call around to all the Walmart & ToysRUs in your area and ask them which ones are in stock. Good luck finding one for your little guy!

My kids have the Teenage Mutant Ninja turtle one. they got it for their birthday 2 years ago. So i dont know if they still make them. It was bought at Walmart.

I want to go with the other poster, I have a 2 year old as well and I would never get a tv for her room, but believe me I understand the temptation, I really do. That said, most tvs last a long, long time. Right now in my very adult bedroom I have the same 13 inch tv that I got for my bedroom when I was 11 years old. I would just get a regular tv and not a kids tv that you'll have to replace in a few years because it is too "babyish". Get a flatscreen, they are lightweight and you don't have to worry about him tipping it on himself, or mount it on a ceiling mount.

I just want to say if your ds won't go to sleep without a 'prop' like a tv, then it only gets worse when they get older. Obviously, I have no idea why you want a tv in his room and I am not being judgemental here, just one mom who's btdt with the tv thing, and it's a big, huge pain to break that cycle. Just word to the wise. :) I agree though, if you're going to do it, get a small wall-mountable flat-panel. It will be easy to put out of reach, and will last for years. Maybe you could even make something in a theme your ds likes (or you like for him) to frame it with. That way, when you tire of it, you can just take it off and/or redo it. Just a thought!
