OT~When does school start next fall for your children?

Planning our August trip to Disney and I'm *hoping* to hit it as most of the schools in the area have returned but before our kids go back Sept. 2nd....

Last year we went August 17-24 and it was wonderful-very hot of course, but not excessively crowded....

We're thinking Aug. 15-22 this year which would be basically the same week as last year's trip but I'm toying with leaving the 14th (Thurs) instead or even possibly Monday the 18th??? Just weighing my options before I book tomorrow!!

Our school system (Troup County, GA) goes back on August 7th.

August 18th - I'm just outside of Jacksonville, FL.

August 25th for traditional calendar schools, July 7th for year round schools in Raleigh North Carolina.

Also DH and I went last year August 12th-19th and did not think the crowds were bad at all. Granted, we fully took advantage of being early risers and hit the parks before opening almost everyday.

Aug 18th also here in N. FL. FL legislature passed a law a year or two ago that mandated that school could not start earlier than two weeks before labor day. Most FL schools start at this time.

Aug 20 for us, maybe a day or 2 later for other districts in SC. My neices and nephews in NJ start the Wed or Thurs after Labor Day.

Don't have the "official" schedule yet, but in NW Ohio we usually start the Wednesday before Labor Day.
