OT:What will be the HOT Christmas toy for 2005?

Has anyone seen any toys,games,videogames/machines that they think will be the HOT toy this Christmas season? Last year it was VSmile for my DS4. Just curious so I can start looking now. My DS4 keeps asking for a dirtbike. Like that's going to happen!

I am not sure what will be "hot", but I am going to convince myself not to buy it this year. I have already given to goodwill a lot of their Christmas toys from last year - that was only 7 months ago!! The videonow with every accessory possible sits in a drawer. My son's birthday is two days after Christmas and I have to think of so many things to put on his list for family and friends to buy. He has about 8 gifts from his "friend" party that are still in the boxes. I don't know how I am going to do it this year, but I am determined to ask for different things. If only I knew what.

With all that said, I saw there is a new leapster Lmax that could be popular. My daughter's friends are all into Tamagochi recently. I don't know when those came back.

I am very interested in what everyone has to say. The big hit last year when my ds was 6 were Incredibles toys. He's very into Pokemon and Stitch now. I'm wondering what "big" movies are scheduled to come out for Thanksgiving. That may drive it somewhat.

i have NO clue what will be THE hot toy this year. however, i bought my dd one of those $5.29 easy-bake ovens w/ the accessory kit from amazon.com, so i'm HOPING she loves it (she's almost 8 and loves helping her mimi cook cakes, etc.). i've also preordered cinderella on DVD w/ the lithos, plushes & pins-this will be from santa. my dd understands that santa has to deliver toys all over the world, and in order to do that in one night, she only gets 1-2 things from him. i agree w/ the previous poster about the new leapster (my dd has the original and still loves it, even after almost 2 years) it should be a hot seller.

I just recently saw a new Furby at Target. We will not be getting one of those. My DD5 said Santa could just bring her clothes because she already has too much stuff. This year we are completely clueless on what to get. We have normally started by now.

Now I know what will magically appear under the tree to DH from Santa. It happened when the XBOX came out before. All DH could say is what a Christmas miracle with a huge grin on his face.
