Hi! DH and I are both going to have a day off work and want to go to movies while DD in daycare that day. Been forever since we got to go to the movies. Anyone know of any really good movies out right now? Seems like everytime we do get to go we go to one that is really hyped up and then we are bored by it. Thanks for any suggestions!

DH loved Transformers, lots of action. I didn't see it though. He took DS and I took the DDs to Ratatouille. I can't wait to see No Reservations and Becoming Jane. They both look good.

Whatever you pick - HAVE FUN!!! I'm jealous DH and I haven't been to the movies alone together since I was pregnant with DD15!!

My girls and I just saw Chuck and Larry, it was hilarious! They saw Hairspray and loved it also. License to Wed was not worth it to me, I'd wait for the DVD :)

I just went to see 'Knocked Up' with some girlfriends and it was HILARIOUS. Not thought-provoking, but just good, mindless fun. I think guys would find it funny, too.
It was really crude, though - lots of (stereotypical) guy humor - so don't go if that would offend you.

My DH and I just did this- we went to see License to Wed(with Robin Williams, Mandy Moore), we dropped my DD4 off, went to Walmart to pick up a few items for our WDW trip:cool1: , ate at Cheesecake Factory, went to movies, then picked her up. We had a great day, and at my DD's daycare they had a magician come in (she really wanted to see that), so we didn't even feel guilty!!:thumbsup2
PS. The movie was great!!

For a funny movie, Knocked Up was awesome. For something to think about and debate, Sicko is a good movie. I'd recommend either one - depending on your mood. :)

If you are into musicals at all, or just like MUSIC in general, go see Hairspray! It is awesome. We went this past weekend and I loved every minute of it. I've never even seen the original movie or Broadway play. It is non-stop entertainment and so many of the songs you can't help but get into. The storyline is pretty cool too. You definitely will not have the chance to get bored at this one!

Well, we ended up finding the last movie theater in town to still be showing Pirates. So we saw that. I thought it was good, but quite confusing. I loved the first, not the second, but this was much better than the second one IMO. It was so nice just to feel like we were on a date again.
