I am Elly......and I love Disney!

tadamom - The first movie my DS ever watched was The Lion King, he was around a year old and he sat through the whole movie giggling -- it was amazing! He was around a year old, so you know how many words a one year old uses. But, he would tell me and his dad "I tada". We couldn't figure it out until one day when we were watching Toy Story it clicked. When Andy and his mom are in the car, the song Hakuna Matata comes on and my DS just went crazy saying "I tada - I tada". My DH figured it out - tada is what he was calling the song and he would say it when he wanted to watch The Lion King. So he called Simba "tada" for the longest time. So, tadamom came from that story. I have been called this from the moment we figured it out - 5 years ago.

I just wanted something Disney and DD was watching Cinderella.![]()
I enjoyed this story very much.
When my DS saw the Lion King at 2, we had to leave because of the "Bad dawjees, Bad dawjees." The hyenas. He loved the movie and was dancing until they came on. I still think if we could have fast forwarded that part, we would have been fine. He is now 6 feet 177pounds at age 14. Just a big ole corn fed boy. Cut to think of him afraid of anything. EVERYONE in my family calls it the Bad Dawjees movie. He blushes and laughs. He is the first of 6 grandkids, so lots of Bad Dawjees fans after him too.

Oh my, you are a wicked mom.I was at a party once and this group of moms was talking about how they were such softies when it came to their kids. Now, I know these kids and know how unruly they can be. I couldn't take it anymore. They were all trying to one up each other on nice they are to their kiddos and how much they let their kids get away with things. And I had heard, "Oh, I'm just too easy on them." 1 time too many. So I said, "Not mean. I'm just mean. I expect my kids to contribute to the well being of our family by doing chores, and I don't pay them to do the chores. After all, nobody pays me to do my chores." Boy, they were speechless. Now, of course, I said this in a light-hearted manner, but they got my point. Could you imagine trying to win the Who Lets Their Kids Walk All Over Them The Most Game?
