OT-What does your family like when they are sick?

We've been suffering from colds, etc every few weeks. With no end of winter in sight and our co-workers hacking and sneezing all around us, DH and I have just accepted that we will be enjoying a heavy cold, bug season this year.

So... What does you family like when you are all sick? Soups of any kind seem to be a hit here. Whether canned, dry mix, or homemade, the more soup the better. Rotesserie chicken is also a fav. I get a craving for Arby's sometimes when I am sick. I guess those warm and soft RB sandwiches just can't help but to make one feel better. Hot tea w/butter cookies are my favorite treat. The girls love hot cereal or scrambled eggs and will eat them all day when sick.

When I'm sick is the only time I'll eat KFC (Kentucky Fried Chicken)....but I only get their mashed potatoes and mac and cheese and biscuits. They are wonderful when you're feeling under the weather.

Glad to hear someone else likes KFC when sick. I always get the biscuits and the mashed potatoes and gravy. When I was in college I got really sick for about 3 weeks. My now DH kept me supplied with mashed potatoes. Now that is true love.

My personal favorite is a chicken broth based Filipino soup called Pesa. It is so good for both the respiratory and stomach viruses because it has lots of ginger in it and of course keeps the fluids in. I make a big pot and it lasts a couple days at least. I like other soups too. My kids are big on toast, mac and cheese, bananas, turkey sandwiches and Sprite. They also like ice cream, pudding and yogurt.

My oldest will live on Jello and gingerale when she is sick
My middle dd loves applesauce and chicken and stars (not sure why it has to be stars but it does)
Youngest doesnt really have preferences, he will eat anything I give him
DH loves toast, he never eats toast unless he is sick and then he lives off it.
I love my herbal tea, rarely eat anything when I am sick.
