Well, it's that time of the year again where I start to drive myself crazy with Xmas ideas. I have 8 yr old twins (ds and dd). I'm thinking Build-a-bear, pj's, Shrek II, Legos, Match Box, books, Disney Dollars for our April trip, and skateboards. I just bought a game that is suppose to be quite entertaining. It's called 20Q (20 Questions by Radica) http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/t...102-6927693-5880922?v=glance&s=toys&n=507846.

I am looking for a Brain Quest Board Game. The cheapest I have found it is $20.00. I'll have to keep looking. Anyone have any good ideas on other gifts? At least for right now, we can play educational games with the kids and they still think its fun::yes::

I would love some of your ideas. Thanks and have a great day!

We took our 7 y/o son to Build-a-Bear yesterday so he could build his new brother's first "stuffy." He LOVED it and can't wait to go back.

How about gift certificates for lunch and a movie--provided they can agree on a movie.

FYI, I just read on another budget board that the Toys R Us buy 1 get 1 free board game sale starts 10/10. Maybe you can find the one you are looking for!!

If you are looking for educational games, my favorite is "SET" followed closely by "apples to apples".

The Set Game looks like fun for kids my age. I might add that one to the list.

MomtoBen02, I did go to our local TRU and there were only a few B1G1 choices. Nothing of real interest (actually we had most of them already).

Movie tix's sound good. If anyone has a reasonable sight for educational games, please post. Also, I am sure all of us would appreciate more ideas for other gifts.

Thanks to my Disfamily!

I purchased my DD the Leapster by LeapFrog. It's almost like a Gameboy but more educational. She loves playing with it and takes it where ever we go. They have many cartridges for it and are coming out with 4 more by the end of November. I just ordered Nemo, which helps with reading, and it's due to ship at the end of next month.

DD took hers to preschool and the teacher was so impressed with it.

The biggest all-time hit with my children is an "art box." Fill a reusable plastic box with "special" art supplies; glitter glue, colored pipecleaners, craft glue, etc. They love having their own stuff!:)

Don't forget to get some inexpensive pins to trade with on your April trip. (They make great stocking-stuffers!)

Try buying tickets to activities that you can use when the weather turns; skating passes, pool passes, bowling certificates, museum passes, etc.

And don't forget to buy books!::yes::
