OT: Upgrade or not

So the new iPhone has been announced so do I upgrade to the 3Gs or not? I don't have the 3G even, I have the model before that. My husband asked me what do you think? He has the 3G but now wants the 3Gs. My initial reaction is to wait until the software update comes out and live with that for a few weeks. Is the new 3Gs going to be that much better than my iPhone with the software update?

At this point I have told my husband that I don't plan to upgrade but I reserve the right to change my mind. Just wonder what everyone else's thoughts are on this subject.
