HI there, we are heading to T.O. to see Rock of Ages Nov 5th, it is at the Royal Alexandria Theatre and I am wondering if anyone knows of some hotels downtown T.O. not in a seedy neighbourhood, that isn't expensive and we can walk to the theatre :lmao: I know, I know, I am not asking for much! I would like to have a drink or 2 so walking would be a good idea!! Any suggestions would be helpful! My sister is travelling 9 hours to go with us, so I am doing all the planning!!! HELP!
An even funnier one, is their any chance that I will be able to find 4 leaf tickets for the Nov 6th game against Buffalo??????:rotfl2: I am guessing not, but I will try!

There are a few hotels right near the Royal Alex, however inexpensive is hard to find in downtown Toronto. Within a few minutes walk is the Marriott Residence in the Entertainment District, The Strathcona Hotel, and the Sheraton Centre. The Royal Alex is partnered with the Sheraton Centre and the Westin Harbour Castle so they my have a shuttle that goes to and from the theatre not sure. If you keep your eye out you may find a deal at one of these hotels. Hope this helps - enjoy the show!!!!

Thanks so much, I will look into it! I know the Sheraton had a deal for the show, so I will see how much it is! Thanks!

The Sheraton Centre comes up cheap on Hotwire quite often.
You can use betterbidding dot com to help figure out which one it is.

We actually did that last year for the Jonas bros concert, got there and they had no rooms with beds!!!!!!!!!!! We got a room with 2 couches and a big boardroom table!! We had to get rollaways!
Not just that, the prices on Hotwire right now, are over $115 which probably isn't bad, but using the link for the holiday inn found on the orlando and attractions board, got me a Holiday Inn Express on Lombard st for $90 so I hope that it is ok, and not to far of a hike!
Anyone know if it is possible to get any leaf tickets?
Thanks

Leaf tickets are pretty hard to come by even when they are losing! Enjoy Rock of Ages, it's a great show!!

Thanks Michelle, leafs tickets are hard to come by! It's to bad my hubby is a die hard leaf fan, and we have never been able to watch a game in Toronto! We have watched them in Tampa, easier to obtain tickets there, but just not the same atmosphere! Although, when we went to Tampa the last couple of years, it was mostly Cdns sitting all around us!LOL

You certainly could get Leafs tickets through Stubhub.

Your right, and that is exactly what we did! We didn't get seats we wanted cause I wasn't willing to spend a half a weeks salary on 1 game! But we get to go, even if we have to sit up high! It's more the atmosphere your after in Toronto, so hopefully we get that, no matter where we sit, thanks!!!!!

Anybody have any input on where to go for dinner the first night, close to Rock of Ages? And how much am I going to love this show? I was an 80's brat!
And dinner before the hockey game, close to the ACC? Anybody with any suggestions?

Unfortunately any nice hotel in downtown T.O. is expensive but good luck on a deal online...with the economy right now there are speacials to be had :-)

As for Leaf tix, you can always get them but yes - they will be ridiculiouly expensive as well. Except for habs, ottawa kinda games you can get tix the night of by walking up to the box office or using a scalper but they are the platinum/gold level and like $200 + a seat!

Thanks for the information, we ended up getting Rock of Ages for $69 with great seats, Leafs tickets for $118 for not great seats, and the Holiday Express on Lombard for $86 each night! Hope the weather stays good for travelling!
