OT: Tonsils and Adenoids removed

DD had hers out at age five. She was supposed to leave the hospital that afternoon, however she started vomiting and had to spend the night. She did okay at home until the third day when she was in a lot of pain. The doctor said that was normal. A couple of days later, she was back to her old self.

Hope everything is well, we go in tomorrow for my DD's surgery......and was just remembering that your son was due to go right before us! Hope he is recovering well, sending the pixie dust your way!:)

Thank you so much! I hope everything goes as well for your daughter as it did for my son! We arrived at the hospital at 7:30am, and were on our way home at 10:30am. He slept from 11-1, and then by 1:30 was eating potato chips (the doctor specifically told us to buy them, as well as gummy bears and fruit rollups to encourage him to chew! Never would have guessed any of those things!) He refuses the tylenol with codeine, but seems to be okay with just regular tylenol. Honestly, you would never know he had a procedure done at all - he's been playing all day, and had chicken fingers and fries for dinner! Plenty of pixie dust to you and your daughter (you'll need it too - watching him come out of anesthesia was the worst part:sick: )

Great to hear most had a quick recovery! We scheduled my dd 6 surgery today, tonsils and adnoids out and tubes put in....hers are so enlarged they are not allowing her to hear well because lack of air behind the ear drumm. Her surgery is scheduled for August 10th, my youngest DD 1 is having tubes on August 9th.... all of this 2 weeks before we leave to see the mouse!!! Hoping for some quick recoveries. Kids, it is never easy:)

Hoping all is well and your DD's are having a good recovery

Thank-you! She is doing so well, I am shocked....the hardest thing for her is that she wants to go swimming and she can't! Glad everything is working out with recovery , now I can start to actually be excited to leave before I was still nervous. This past week was a long one, my youngest DD also had tubes put in on Thursday.....glad vacation is just around the corner.:)

Just wanted to say thanks again for all your stories and advice. DD had her procedure this morning and so far so good. Flav-or-ice is her friend today.

she's not a good medice taker, but we've gotten her to take it.

They took her back to operating room in a wagon and she got to play on a computer and blow up a special magic balloon. She was very tired and cranky coming out of recovery, but that's about it so far.

Thanks again
