OT ~ The real Cazalet

As I mentioned last night - very cool!

The place I mentioned that is famous here is called Spruce Meadows. It is one of the top show jumping venues in the world. http://www.sprucemeadows.com

If you and Cazalet are ever up here jumping, be sure to let me know!

Carol, if we ever qualify to ride at Spruce Meadows, you will hear me hollaring all the way from California, I assure you! That is truly a premier show jumping venue! I was trying to ask you if it was Spruce Meadows during our conversation in VMK, but the only thing I could type was "Tree Me add oh" It didn't come out well  and I couldn't think of anything that I could say in VMK that would rhyme with Spruce! :rotfl: Just gotta love that VMK dictionary!

Jewel, all gray horses are really born dark. Cazalet was a very, very dark brown with white hairs around his eyes and nose - the giveaway that he will be gray. Both his parents were gray and in the horse world, gray is the dominant color. As he gets older, he will get lighter until he is 'white' - although in the horse world we still call that gray. :thumbsup2 As for his breeding, his mom is a Thoroughbred, (JacklinKlugman was her sire) and his dad is a Warmblood named Casi. So he is what we call a 'sport horse', 1/2 thoroughbred and 1/2 warmblood.

Thanks to all for your kind comments and good wishes!
