OT: That darned tooth fairy!

I have my son's teeth in a little jewelry box in my spare bedroom. It's up high on a bookshelf.

For the record, the Tooth Fairy doesn't always leave $20. She felt guilty and wrote a note telling DS not to expect that every time. Only when she's passed out on vicodin and doesn't remember. :rotfl2:

I've got my dd's teeth in an envelope way up high in my desk area (built in). I labeled the envie with the date and which tooth is was, and how it came out!

DD gets a gold dollar and 4 quarters per tooth. The gold ones are to save!

Funny note, my mom just found mine and my brother's teeth the other day, and she wanted to throw them out. I acted horribly offended and insisted she couldn't do that. Then she offered them to me. Needless to say they are IN the trash. But I insisted that was a bad mommy thing she did. LOL!

When I was little and I had a loose tooth, I would always try my hardest to get it out. It would bleed so much! My mom, well actually the tooth fairy, gave my 5 dollars for the very last tooth I lost and then told that there is no tooth fairy....I cried.:sad1:

DD 17 had her wisdom teeth pulled on Friday on the way to the dentist she spotted a prom dress at the tune of 200.00.... she figures her wisdom teeth are worth about 50.00 a piece for pain an suffering.

When DD was 4 or 5 she had a loose tooth that was so loose her papaw tied a string to the tooth then pinned the string to DD's shirt so she would not loose the tooth if it fell out. I'd told Papaw to pull the tooth but he didn't want to scare DD an she was scared to loose the tooth so she ran around all weekend while stayin with gparents with that thread tied to her tooth an other end pinned to her shirt.

My other DD would want a dollar for something an she'd find a tooth she could manage to pull out.

My son had lost 1 or 2 teeth when he decided he wanted to collect his own teeth. He wrote up a nice note for the tooth fairy asking for his teeth back and could he keep this other one he just lost. She brought them back with his money. He was so excited.

He also has eaten a tooth. He wrote yet another note explaining the situation so she would understand and realize he wasn't lying? Pretty cute notes actually.

I threw away my kids baby teeth. Just the thought of keeping them kinda grosses me out.

I give them a dollar a tooth. Luckily DS is done with losing his baby teeth. I kept forgetting to leave the dollar.

He'd wake up in the morning, see the tooth still there with no dollar and yell that the tooth fairy was busy again so please leave his tooth under the pillow so she'd come the next night. I never left more than a dollar. I guess I just didn't feel guilty enough. :rotfl:

I've only forgotten twice so far with DD. But then she's still young so there's plenty of time for the tooth fairy to forget to stop by. :)

When my DD was about 5 she had lost one of her teeth, She started to lose her's early and one after another. I was tired and she was still up so I told my Dh to make sure the Tooth Fairy comes and I go to bed. Well you can guess what happened next, it's morning and my DD is standing at my bed crying the Tooth Fairy didn't come. I told her she had to come to go look again and look under the blankets. I jump up yell at my DH and grab $10.00 from his pocket. DD comes back in still crying it is not there. I go in her room and start looking in her bed, and when she is not looking I drop the money on the floor near her bed. I say to her look it fell on the floor. I pick it up and gave it to her, but in return she gives me an attuide and says I put it there, I said no I didn't, and she continued saying it was not there, how would it get there. I say you move all over when you sleep I am sure you knocked it out of bed. I know when she walked out she was still uncertain on what happened. And I learned never to just Daddy with the Tooth Fairy :rotfl:

I kept must of her teeth, until we moved. When I was packing I threw all them away except the very first one she lost. Right now it is in a clear bag with her first hair cut in my dresser drawer.

My DS just started to loose his teeth and 3 of them are in the dresser too. The kids get $10.00 for each lost tooth. Well my DS has been getting $12.00I don't know why I picked $12.00:confused3
