I am racking my brain trying to come up with an interesting idea for my psych paper. It's only a short paper but need a good subject.

My last paper was on bipolar and how self awareness is the key factor in sucessfully managing the disease.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Medicating children with for ADD or ADHD?
Is it wise while there's brains are still developing?

Depression and addictive or self medicating behaviors.
Gambling, drugs(prescription , OTC & illicit), alcohol, cigarettes, coffee.
Stopping completely or is harm reduction acceptable?

Marijuana, a schizophrenic trigger?

Is cognative behavior therapy the still a option that should be used in treating mood disorders?

New approach of police to people in crisis with development of special teams trained to spot people with mood disorders. Toronto and Peel have such units.

Seriously: What symptoms is Britney(sp?) Spears exhibiting? Is it time for an intervention?

Suggested these topics because of the theme of you last paper.
Glad I'm done with school

Hmmm. I like the medicating children with ADHD ...that's a good one, I would have to see what research is out there.

I have already touched on the drugs/schizophrenia issue when I did my bipolar paper...too similar

Covered the cognitive therapy one in my bipolar paper too.

I was going to go with OCD. My take was going to be that those who are "checkers" do so due to self-doubt and have perfectionist tendencies. So maybe my thesis could be that those who are perfectionists and checkers have low self esteem.

Why do adults love to go back to WDW over and over? How about that?
I need to know because I can't figure it out:lmao:

Chris.

What about the rise in the number of diagnosed PDD/Autism cases these days?

Or, Fetal Alcohol Syndrome-similarities and differences with some of the other aforementioned?

Well I would like to know that one too. Maybe because Disney is the MOST MAGICAL PLACE ON EARTH.

Makes me feel like a kid again and takes all my worries away.

As my son said, it's easy to get used to that lifestyle. :worship:

Hers's one, does having a bad childhood predispose adults to decide not to have children? I've always wondered that.

What about usage of violent computer games and the correlation to violent behavior?

Helping children deal with trauma - could touch on 9/11 issues

Depression in children

Anorexia/bulimia

Internet addiction (boy can I relate)

Good luck with your paper!
