Did anyone else get the House Party for the Cartoon Network premiere?! We are so excited!

I'm looking for ideas for cool names for the party snacks, etc. We are going to have a "sculpt your own" Star Wars alien with modelling clay activity. DS10 and his friends won't want to do a real craft, but I'm looking for ideas for games or other thoughts. DS is totally into the aliens...

I can't wait to see what's in the party box! I'm really hoping for action figures!

I did nor get this one! my son is so upset!! We were hoping for this one. I guess since I got the Alli one I should not complain, but I would almost trade the Alli for the Star wars one!

I think they said 10,000 people applied and there are only 2,000 parties, so lots of people didn't get it...I knew this would be a popular one!

I'm sure the Alli one might actually be more valuable dollar-wise, and your results will last longer than the Star Wars stuff!

I've not seen Clone Wars, but we did a Star Wars party a couple of years ago. I made lightsabers for snacks. You take a pretzel rod, dip it in melted white chocolate and then roll some in green sugar and some in red sugar. You can find the colored sugar in the baking section. Very easy!

We made our own lightsabers for party favors, but it was too hard for first graders. My DH ended up wrapping them all when we tested it with my DS. We used a flimsy foam like material. I can't remember what it was called, and then wrapped 3/4 of it in red or green duct tape. They were great because no one could get hurt when "battling." I had balloons they had to try to keep off the ground with their lightsabers.

I had Darth Maul punch (Red Hawaiian punch and Sprite) and Yoda Delight (green punch and Sprite).

I think I found all these ideas on the internet. There were tons of ideas out there!

The light saber treats sound great! I will definitely have to google the internet and see what I find!

Thanks!

My kids have 2 Star Wars cookbooks. Wookiee Cookies and Darth Malts. Amazon has them, but I've seen them in stores too. They have some very cute recipes. Yoda Soda, Midichlorian Punch and Dark Side sundaes. My kids love the TIE Fighter "dogs" made with hot dogs wrapped in bread sticks to look like TIE fighters. R2D2 treats made by dipping a banana in chocolate, rolling in crushed peanutes then putting a kit-kat on each side (as the legs). I'm sure you can find more than enough idea there.

regards

Oh, wow! I had no idea there were actual cookbooks! This is fantastic!

Thanks so much for all the ideas!

Maria
