OT - Software/Web Programmer

Hi everyone,

I don't know if anyone read my other post, but the day before we went to WDW last week, my DF lost his job.

He is a Software/Web Programmer and I guess the company wasn't doing so well. They have offered him some contract work but it just isn't the same. So, now he is looking for something else!

We live in the Niagara Area, but we are flexible about where in Ontario he can work.

If anyone has any job leads, could you please let me know... if it is very detailed PM me please. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

He is midlevel in his career... looking for something that pays a minimum of $35 000 yearly. He has a college and post grad diploma and about 5 years experience.

I am so sorry to hear about your DF.

My fiance is in the same industry so I know where you are coming from. I guess the computer industry just isn't what it used to be.

Is there a specific type of Programming/Web Development that your DF does?

Hey everyone!

Thanks for your messages and PMs! We've been looking at the HRDC Jobbank everyday... and, DF has an interview on Monday. We're very excited... but still looking.

*crosses fingers* This job would be very good for him... a step up.

Anyway, yes... the programming industry is really difficult for some reason. He's had 3 good jobs since he finished school... each lasted a little over a year, but then the company just doesn't have money to keep a full time programmer.

He does pretty much any web programming at all. Very smart. So, any help still appreciated!

What type of programming does he do?

There are lots of sites where he can do freelance work in the meantine while in between jobs.

He has lots of freelance/contract stuff to do... it is coming out of his ears! But, he needs something permanent, full time.
