OT-So, how much snow are you getting?

My area got 11.5 inches. Thank goodness the snowblower started up and worked great, without giving me attitude  as it sometimes does.

11.5 inches doesn't sound like much compared to what some of you are saying about 20-30 inches in the Northeast!! Stay safe, everyone! :wave2:

they are comparing this to the blizzard of 78
we're up about 20" and its still coming down!

We're in south central Indiana. It was blowing snow all day yesterday. We had a little snow earlier in the week, which we didn't shovel off the drive, since it normally would have melted by now. It didn't snow enough to obliterate the tire tracks in the driveway. It's nice that the heavy snow missed us this time, although I am wishing for higher temperatures.

Need all the positive vibes we can get :cheer2:

Now I have to shovel out again. We got a little more snow overnight and, with the wind blowing, the snow is right back where it was before I shovelled (just not as much).

A little OT here - how do your pets like the snow. Last night my dog would NOT go out. This morning I took her for a short walk to the corner (figured she would bust her bladder :D ). She usually walks next to me, but today walked behind me so she could walk in the path I created. She is so spoiled!
But her and I will do our Eagles dance before I leave for the game, so she's ok in my book! ;)

GO EAGLES!!!

Terri

We ended up with more than 12" here - the snow on top of the car was taller than my ruler. Apparently some pixie dust fell, too - one of my neighbors brought his snowblower around to all the older residents' and single moms' houses. I saw him at the bottom of my driveway and was so excited that I wouldn't have to wrestle with the pile left by the plows, but then he went ahead and cleared my entire driveway and front walk! He even refused money toward gas for the snowblower - said he's retired and misses the outdoors. Wow!

Well, not having to shovel means more time to care for my sick kids. Maybe there'll be no school tomorrow for the Monsters' household, regardless of weather.

Hope everyone is digging out safely and is keeping warm!

Hi, Here in RI we are up to 18-24" and it is still snowing!!! But the worst of it is the wind with blowing and drifting, you end up with piles of snow in the 3feet+ range! We are in a STATE OF EMERGENCY and school has already been canceled for tomorrow. My DH is out snowblowing our driveway and I am inside making pizza.Hey, we all do what we can!! Thinking warm thoughts of WDW and looking forward to April, when we get out of HERE!! Joan

Sometimes I complain about how hot it gets here (in Orlando) but I guess we are very lucky during the winter months. Although, I bet the snow is really beautiful.Keep warm and be safe to all.

Yeah it can be pretty. But I'd rather have none and warm temps. You are very lucky.

According to the evening news we got 14.2 inches. DS is very upset this morning because school is open here.

We have a 2 hr delay b/c of drifting...

My daughter was sooo disappointed to get all this snow and no snow day from school! We only got about 6-8" here, not too bad considering I'm in Maine! :)

We have about 3 feet, but the drifts are quite impressive. When husband and 2 sons ventured out to shovel this morning, we realized that, though our street had been plowed at some point yesterday, the blowing snow overnight had created 3-4 foot drifts across our street. Still waiting for a really big plow to come! I think it might be a while. Until then....lots of hot cocoa for my shoveling heroes! :D

Well, I'm home. The cars were covered. We could not get out any door but the cellar. 36inches!! I was stuck in a drift to my hips, DH had to pull me out. So funny. Lucky I like snow. Neighbors helped each other all day. The plowman even pulled the snow bank from my driveway, was chest high, felt like we were spooning it off. We live on a main road so get plowed back into the driveway w ea pass. Don't like to take snow days from school cuz then we add them in June. :earseek:
Happy shoveling all!! ;)
