I have an ebay buyer who needs the item she won overnighted. I am going to use Fed Ex. I've never used them before. Do I need to ship in their Fed Ex box, or can I use my own generic box? If I have to use theirs, are they free, or must I pay for it?

Thanks in advance!

You can get free boxes and envelopes from them for overnight service, but there aren't many size choices. You can also use your own packaging. Payment is easy - just put your credit card number on the packaging slip (it is gone when it gets to the recipient).

Make sure it is someone who has high positive feedback. Also make sure that the payment is valid. I would even suggest going so far as to get the contact phone number and call the person to make sure they really exist and are not trying to scam you.

Also be sure to drop the package in the right FedEx pickup box. I had a problem with a return item where they had sent me the label to ship it back. I dropped it into the box that said FedEx on it and thought I was good, but it turns out that there are different drop boxes for different types of service. I dropped it in the Express box and it was Ground, causing the package to spend a couple of days getting from one side of the company to the other. The rep who "explained" all this to me was very rude and treated me like an idiot for not knowing any better. Now I remember why I don't normally use their service.

You can also use the USPS Express Mail Service.
