OT: Sad day for my family

That sucks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! sorry to hear about your loss, time to replace her

I'm so sorry for your loss. My sweet Rosie will be 15 this spring, and I know I have to prepare myself for her passing, but I dread it so much. Here she is:

John, very sorry to hear about this, she was a beautiful dog. I hope you and your family can remember all the good times you had with her, she looks like she was full of love.

John

I just wanted to tell you how sorry I am about your Millie. My kids were 3 & 1 when we went through this. 9 years later, out of the blue, they'll get sad & start talking about him.

She was a beautiful girl. Hugs to you and all of your family.

Wow...John, I wish I knew what to say. Jokes wont help here....I am very sorry for you, brother. Im sure theres nothing that can relieve the pain, except for time. She sounds like the dog that all other dogs will be compared to for you. A new pup may help pass some of that time a little quicker, though... or maybe a grown dog...maybe a chihuahua, I happen to know of a chihuahua that you can have to feed to your new German Shepherd pup! Hope that was worth at least a smile, buddy. Here's to Millie....

So sorry to hear about your loss. It's incredibly painful to lose a pet. Hugs to you and your family.

I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. I was in your shoes in May when we lost Gunnar, our 13 year old corgi. Our little one--a 7 year old--cried almost nightly all summer and then started lobbying for another dog. Now we have two corgi puppies--a 2 month old and a 4 month old. It doesn't take the place of the old friend but it helps.

Oh, yeah, they are Minnie and Daisy!

My eyes filled with tears when i saw your beautiful old girl. She didn't even look that old at all, what a good life she must have had. My 14 yr old died this past november (see avatar). I've never felt such pain except when her sister dog died at age 17 a few years before. Look for signs that she's still with you, it may be very subtle, but she'll let you know she's there. Maybe even an unexplained splash in the pool this summer, her spirit will live on forever.
