Anyone been to this resort? I am headed there next year for a friends' 50th birthday bash :thumbsup2

We will be staying in Falling Rock and will have 24/7 butler service, if we want it. How much do you tip a butler? I was thinking maybe the same as a room attendant on a cruise ship? Is that fair? :confused3 If so, what is that amount?

Any comments on the resort itself? We are planning some golf and spa time. Which reminds me - their Mystic course includes forecaddies - is $25/person a good tip for forecaddies? Spa services I would just tip 20% of services, right?

TIA :worship:

Hey-
I went to Nemacolin this past September for three days with DH while he attended a sales meeting. I am not a golfer, so I can't help you with those questions, but I just wanted to say that you will love this resort.

The restaurant at Falling Rock is wonderful - I don't remember the name of it, sorry! I ate there by myself, looking out at the bagpipe player walking and playing at sunset. It was the most relaxed, peaceful time I'd had in a very long time.

As far as spa- I got a Lomi Lomi massage. Oh. My. Goodness. Pure bliss.
If, however, you are not familiar with a Lomi lomi- never had one and are new to massage, you might want to choose a different one. The draping technique they must use is minimal, and you will be "exposed" a bit more than other massages. The spa area is beautiful, too.

I tip 20-25% for spa.

We stayed in the hotel part, so i don't know about butler services, but when we've had them before at other resorts- we tipped but I don't know how much. I just always hand the bill over to Dh and he does it all.:goodvibes

Wish I could help you more, but you will really feel blissfully relaxed after leaving this place!

Have a wonderful vacation!!!

Jo

JoBird, thanks for the info. I'm really looking forward to staying there. :woohoo: Never had a massage so I don't think that's the one to start with :scared1:

I love my facials since they usually include a neck and shoulder massage - which is what I need most of the time. I may try a "beginner" message to see if I like it :thumbsup2

Can you beleive that when I made the room reservations (July 2009) that I could also make dining reservations!!?? Imagine if Disney allowed 300+ days of ADRs :lmao:

Anyone else stay there and have any words of wisdom?
