Persuasion sounds interesting to me. What is the basic plot of the story?

Hey there! Without giving too much away, it is the story of a woman who has to deal with the financial situation of her family and the affects of a decision she was advised to make several years earlier--both of which collide at the beginning of the story. It is one of the most beautiful books I have ever read.

p.s. For those of you interested in adaptations, the film version from 1995 was excellent. The major male lead is played by Ciaran Hinds, who was recently in 'Munich', 'Phantom of the Opera' (film) and one of the 'Tomb Raider' movies.

These are really great books, that I have read and recommend to people who actually take the time in reading my list; LOL!! But seriously, these books make you look at the world in a different perspective and make you realize what you have you should be grateful for.
