I am looking to buy foam mattresses for a tent trailer! We bought an older tent trailer and the foam on it is horrible and moldy! If anyone has any idea where you can get the foam for mattresses without spending a ton of money, let me know!
Thanks so much

We have a new park model trailer and the mattresses have nothing in them. I went to Costco and bought a bed topper. I love sleeping on the bed now. You can buy cheaper ones at walmart. I'd get rid of your original mattresses and buy some foam to lay down then put a topper on it. Mine cost about $155 for a queen size, but I know you can get them cheaper at walmart.

We have the same problem in our travel trailer and every year I keep thinking I need a foam topper. I have also seen them at Costco. Maybe this year will be the year!

I'd do as someone else suggested and purchase some foam and a mattress topper.

We also have a tent trailer, and just this weekend after sleeping on the thin mattres, have been thinking I need a topper.

Congrats on the purchase. We love camping, especially after getting our tent trailer last year. Makes it so much easier. (Although, I do look longingly at the huge 5th wheels some families are pulling and think how much easier that would be! LOL)

Enjoy!

Thanks for all of your suggestions. I think I will need a 3-4 inch foam, custom cut, and a topper after that. Expensive beds, but what can you do! I have to have them custom cut because they are odd ball size, 48 X 70! Worst part is I live in a small town, and nearest shopping centre is 1.5 hours from me, and no IKEA!

I would agree that a foam topper is a must. Walmart might have foam mattresses that you could buy. Our Travel Trailer is new but has THE worst beds ever!! We went out and bought a foam topper after our first trip last year and the bed is super comfy now!

BTW Manitoulin is beautiful! I love it up there. Lots of Great camping in your neck of the woods.

As the other posters have recommended try IKEA in Sudbury... long drive I know but they could custom cut it for you or you could cut it yourself with a trusty exacto!

We don't have Ikea in Sudbury or I would be there in a heartbeat!!! Closest one is about 6 hours away! I am going to make some calls today and see what I can find locally, not holding out much hope! I wish I could buy air mattresses to fit the bed size but can't, they are odd ball!
BTW, Manitoulin is an absolute beautiful place to be in the summer, winter's leave much to be desired! If anyone has never been in the summer, you should try it, best place to relax and unwind! Don't tell to many people though, we kinda like to keep our Island to ourselves!!!! Thanks for the input!
