OT:really need your good thoughts today...

My DD is in ER, again. We went about 730pm last night and she is still there. She is having bad side pain and throwing up. They have given her lots of drugs which helps the pain for a short time but then it spikes back up. No fever any more. Her white blood count was high. They did xrays and blood work. One test came back negative pointing towards a possible blood clot. They did a cat scan and found none. Which is good.

This has been a reoccurring problem for the last 4+ years. In and out of ER. They have run so many tests the the lab techs and also the ER personal know her by sight....

Her family doctor says she has torn or broken rib joint at her cartilage. She was injured back in '06 in high school in woodshop. A piece of wood kicked back at her into her ribs. You can see the dent in her rib cage. But I would think it would have healed by now. But I am not a doctor...

She stopped her martial arts completely now because of this too. The doctor would always blame that for the flare ups. She got her black belt and stopped back in Jan. Her last flare up was then and the doctor said she must stop her classes. She has been fine until now. We were moving a bed yesterday and she thinks that is what set it off....she was already feeling sick and still helped. (it was her room we were moving things around in )

The Doctor in ER said he doesn't think it's her rib so now we wait for an internist to check her out.

So if you could send good thoughts, prayers and pixie dust her way....also to the doctor who will be checking her....it would be appreciated so much.

We leave in 5 weeks for the DCL Baltic cruise too. She is so worried this will happen over there. That would be a nightmare for sure....

They are admitting her after 16 hours in ER. No more pain meds the dr said it's eating up her stomach. He said it is not her ribs. Back to square one again. He has no idea what is wrong.
