Please pray for my best friends family and that of their dear lifelong friends. The father was on the roof working and then he was found on the ground. They don't know if the fall caused the problem, or if there was a problem causing him to fall. He was lifeflighted from our rural town to the city about 250 miles away. He is stabile enough to be in surgery now.

This is budget related because it is a hard financial time for all of us and we need to find something to do for this family. Besides prayer, can anyone think of something relatively inexpensive, yet useful to help them while away from home.

Many . The power of prayer is awesome. Since there so far away maybe just keeping the home in order for them may be a really big help. I dont know if you can get some donations from the neighbor hood. You could always ask them what is there most specific need that you can do for them. I know that god is at work with this right now. Keep us posted so we know how to pray. Jo

Asking for prayer is the most important thing you can do (if you ask me). Maybe gas cards or gift certificates for meals on the go. I will keep them in my prayers.

Prayer and hugs:grouphug: My father fell down the stairs a month ago and broke his neck. Initial reports told us he would be paralyzed. He is now home from the hospital and although he will have limited use of his hands because of crushed nerves he is walking on his own. I tribute this greatly to the amount of prayers he received from the most unlikely sources. Because of modern things like facebook and this site he had strangers praying for his recovery. I would be honored to return the favor to someone else in need.

 A thought to ask your pastor to find a pastor in your denomination in the town and let him/her know of the situation. Its congregation may be able to help the family.

Praying for this family!

Could you help by caring for their lawn, etc. while they are away? Maybe a community yard sale to raise funds to off-set their expenses?

Great idea about the yard care, I will get the youth group working on that. That would be a great blessing as our lawns are really starting to take off. I will make sure it is watered and mowed.

I will also contact our pastor about calling a pastor for them.

Thanks for the prayers. the only update I have is he made it through surgery and they had to take part of the frontal lobe of his brain. I haven't looked to see what that means long term, just haven't had the heart or time to research.

Just praying hard still. Thanks guys please keep up the prayers.

The answer is in your org post...On the roof working...I'm sure he won't be able to or want to finish what he was working on. Just make sure noone else falls.

Prayers are on the way.
