OT--Potty Training Tips

So DD3 has had spells in the past where for a few days she would go to the pty. She actually did #2 first. Then she went on a potty strike and hasn't really wanted to go since. I have so many people saying she turned 3 in Oct, she should be able to now. She is so smart! So starting yesterday, we went to all panties. I would have her sit for a long time, she would try to force it but only pass gas. Then she would get up and within a few minutes, she would have an accident. She is going longer stretches without accidents now. Last night she was at a sleepover with big girls who even tried helping cheer her on. She just seems to not mind being wet, even the panties. I thought about bare bottom yesterday and tried for a while but she seems uncomfortable like she needs to hold herself. I thought maybe she needed to go, but no luck. I know it takes time, but if she just doesn't seem to care... is it worth the stress?
Today we are trying the every 30 minutes on the potty. She is in big girl panties with no pants. Drinking the fluids t o help promote the need. Any other suggestions? We have a potty chart, potty toy bag to get treats after 5 stars and m&Ms. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I feel your pain.
My son was 3 1/2 before he was trained!! I couldnt believe we could have such long drawn out conversations with him about doing it in the potty, yet when it came time, he went in his pants. I thought I would lose my mind before he got trained. I was hoping for better results with his sister. Hoping by the time we get back from Disney she will be more willing and able.

I have the problem that DD 3 is #1 trained but I can't get her to go poop in the toilet. She wears underwear all day long (uses a pullup for bed only and most mornings wakes up dry). She refuses to tell you she has to poop until after she has gone in her panties. I'm almost at my wits end about how to get her to poop in the toilet. She also will only use the toilet - we had a potty chair but she hated it. I tried the nakey butt but she pooped on the floor.

We have even promised her a trip to WDW once she is fully trained but no luck. HELP!!

We have a praise!! DD3 seems to be getting it!! So much difference since yesterday!! She woke up dry again (pullup)! She has not had any accidents today and has been telling us she needs to go!! She even did #2 yesterday with no issue! I am so proud!! Good luck to the rest of you! I must say that I sort of decided it was time and stuck with the putting big girl panties on. She had the accidents friday and didn't seem to get it at all. Then saturday we had a few accidents in the am but by afternoon, she was going in the right direction. She has napped twice with only panties on! we have done the potty dance, a phone call to grammie and a sticker. Once she gets 5 stickers, she gets to choose a prize from the potty bag! When she gets all of those, she gets the Snow White movie!! It is sitting on the mantle for her to see!

Yay!! We had a breakthrough tonight. After dinner DD went to the bathroom and then called for me. I asked her if she went potty and she said "I went poop". Sure enough, she had. Daddy & I both praised her and gave her a treat for doing a "good job". Hopefully this trend will continue!

YEA!!! Congrats!! Once they get it, it is the best feeling isn't it! For those that are still trying, keep pushing on and don't give up. It takes a lot of patience, but it is worth it in the end. Don't give up, and be consistent!! It will work! Pick one method and stick with it. Switching back and forth from method to method and from diapers to no diapers is only confusing to the kids and will make things worse!!!!
