OT-Please watch out for the kids

I know we all hear it when the kids first get out of school for the summer-watch out for the kids, now that school is out there is a lot more of them running about, but here's another word of warning.

Yesterday in my neighborhood, a 2 year old boy ran into the driveway as his mother was pulling into the driveway. She was driving a minivan and never saw him The mom struck the toddler who later died at the hospital. I don't know the family but I am so heartsick for them. Please be careful.

So tragic! This happened to a family in our neighborhood several years ago. I'm not sure how you get over it.

oh gosh, my heart breaks for them. I can't even imagine. I know I have slowed down more and stay extra alert.

That's absolutely AWFUL! As a teacher whose last day was today, it was VERY difficult calming the kids down enough so that they did not run into one another at dismissal. I realize that they were excited, but safety is first.

My heart goes out to that family, I can't even begin to imagine what they are going through.

Good reminder. Kids are out in full force so look out for them - they don't always look where they are going.
