OT plantar warts and hand warts

Your toe fell off? Holy sh*t, isn't that a little extreme???:scared1:

kidding!;)

HAHAHAHAHAHA I suppose I could have worded that a little better...as much pain as it was causing me I really would not have cared at that point if my toe did fall off just to get rid of the pain....I was doing physical therapy while all of this was going on and my therapist kept saying it was a corn because I was babying that foot since it was the leg that was injured and so I was treating it as a corn and then I saw those little black specks in the bump and knew immediately that it was a wart....I have told several about the vinegar and it has worked for everyone I have told thus far.

Thanks and we are hoping there will be some good answers at the end of the month at the dermotologist!

Sometimes homeopathic remedies and home treatments work and work quickly and when they do it is great.

However, warts can be so stubborn that even dematologist have trouble resolving them. I tried duct tape, acid, vinegar, burning, cutting and the home freezing stuff without results. My worst wart was on the side of my thumb (where you hit the space bar - ouch!) and was about the size of a dime cut in half.

I went to the doctor and got a total of 4 little shots that fixed the problem almost immediately. I would strongly encourage anyone that has not seen results with do-it-yourself methods within a month to see a dermatologist and at least make sure they are fighting a wart (some other conditions do look similar) and to see what plan of treatment they recommend. I know I wish I had seen one earlier, and after my experience, I would send DH or DS immediately and skip home treatment completely.

I would also ask about the candida antigent specifically as the studies I have read indicate this is highly effective on about 75% of the population. Also, I have read very encouraging things about the use of Tagament for children.

Good luck to you Sillyminny. Let us know how it works out!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blister_beetle

Update: we saw dermotolgist today and they scraped all warts on hands and foot and applied a chemical from a "blister beetle". It is called Cantharidin and used in cases like this. Well here is the wiki info! Thought you might be interested in the outcome. Should zap them within 2 months. Regards and thanks to all posters here. (Actually this seems to be a "natural" remedy and a good reason to protect our environment!)

They are known as "blister beetles" because they secrete cantharidin, a poisonous chemical causing blistering of the skin and painful swelling. Cantharidin is used medically to remove warts, and is collected for this purpose from species of the genera Mylabris and Lytta, especially Lytta vesicatoria, better known as "Spanish fly".
