I keep reading these trip reports & I miss it. I really need to book a trip. I was looking at a day trip but with the tunnel having a reduced service means I am limited to the ferries which is ok if I can get a cheap deal

I would love to do it every trip, but it is expensive when you're on student income (AKA: Loan! Lol!).... It was a fab treat though. I went without loads of treats all summer (Clothes, meals with friends, etc) to save for all my DLRP meals and stuff...... It was very worth it!

I was just reading on the BBC that they hope to have the service back up to nearly 100% by the end of the week. The last section of the tunnel won't be open, but the rest of the 2nd tunnel will be by Wednesday. The trains will just have to go slower when they swap between the tunnels for the last bit to aviod the damaged section.

I'm so plesaed to hear this as we are using the tunnel when we drive there in 5 weeks.

I see the US have regained the Ryder Cup, was hoping the european guys could pull it off today.

Thats good to know, my uncle said there is a lot of damage to it.

Not really, its just my uncle works for eurotunnel & I can usually get a good deal through him

It doesn't surprise me, the European team haven't exactly played well this time. I think they went into thinking it was a sure thing winning as the US didn't have Tiger Woods playing.
